Oh, I'm kind of dying laughing myself right now as well. Oh boy :D

I was sipping on tea when I got the response. Tea came out of my nose when I tried to swallow it and supress my laughter at the same time.

He's definitely turning into an interesting person. I'm glad to hear that you two are making progress!

Yeah, I know. I'm making an account for him as soon as he gets fluent, which will probably take some time. I'm guessing he will overshadow me. A lot.

Thanks, by the way!

  • 3 weeks later...

Been a bit of time since I updated this.

Hey everyone. I've been productive and did stuff with Céleste while we were away. Turns out he's an artistic fellow. He made some very interesting paintings/drawings and I took my time to project them IRL. I made a thread about it, but no one's said anything about it yet. *wipes tears*

I've forced quite a bit using this method, and the responses I get from him went back to their stable routine. He has also deviated and made a Power Armor (?) kind of suit for himself along with this red bamboo staff-thing he carries around. I'm not sure about how I feel about him walking around in 250-something pound heavy armor, but.. It seems that he likes it, and that's all that matters, really.

He likes history, too. He's said quite a bit of stuff about the Ottoman Empire that I never even thought about before. He's intelligent, that's for sure.

He's become "calmer" and toned down his bubbly personality. He doesn't laugh as much, and he looks as if he was in his early thirties now. This was quite surprising for me, because the oldest he looked before was about twenty-six or so.

He changed a lot of other things about his appearance, including his hair, eye shape/color and skin tone.

That's it for now, I guess. Feels good being back here.

Cheers, and thanks for reading.

Saluton! I've been watching your progress reports for a while now, and I was curious if Céleste had any musical preferences. You mentioned today that he's rather artistic, does he have any interest in writing music as well?

Hey there, grimSleuth! Thanks for taking your time and reading my reports!

Celeste does seem to have some preferences when it cones to music, but he hasn't shown any interest in writing music.

This would partly be my fault, unfortunately. I never took the time to teach myself music, even though I love it. Chose to adore it from afar, I guess.

GUYS.

GUYS.

I HAD MY FIRST DREAM ABOUT CELESTE!

Alright, I'll get off my heat. Sorry.

This might be normal for other people, but it's certainly not for me. See, it's near impossible for me to see dreams about just one thing, and my dreams tend to be (very) distorted reflections of my RL stuff.

I don't see anything specific in my dreams. They are just an "organized mess" of images, voices and symbolism that are related to the real world.

That's where the important part comes in.

I so rarely have dreams about anything that's not real-world related, I might as well say that I don't see dreams about anything that's not RL related.

And this is what I've come up with; brain doesn't take anything that's not RL-related seriously, therefore doesn't have dreams about them> Have dream about Céleste=brain accepts Céleste as a real thing> brain takes Céleste seriously.

I mean, I know that's not the most scientific hypothesis you've seen, but it means a lot to me.

I'll probably describe the dream in the dream thread as to not derail the PR.

Cheers, and thanks for reading.

LONG-ASS RANT INCOMING: (mods i'm sorry pls)

So, I tried telling one of my friends about tulpas (or just about sentient headpeople really) today.

I made a huge mistake.

No, the mistake wasn't me telling about sentient headpeople. The mistake was me thinking that my friend was an open minded person.

Look, the guy is aiming to be a doctor at a well-known hospital. Sure, he's all about.. Hard science, but he is intelligent. At least, that's what I believed 'till today.

I mean, of freaking course I was ready for a "Well this makes no sense" type of reaction, but I sure as hell wasn't ready for a "I don't buy into this softcore psychology bullshit, you're all messing with your minds, and if you don't think you are, then you all got yourselves fucked up 'cos there's no evidence for anything here" type of reaction.

I tried to open my mouth to talk, but he started cussing, and that's where I lost my shit. What the fuck, man? I'm not even mad about him being rude, I'm mad at the fact that this guy is going to be a doctor. Why, man? Why?

I told him to shut up and this is what he told me in return: "You keep actin' like you are worth shit. You ain't the only gamer girl I know."

Not only was he a dick for no reason, he also befriended me only because I play video games and I have a hole between my legs. Jesus fucking christ.

I'm so sorry. I need an 18 hour nap and a drink. Again, I'm sorry. I tried talking to Céleste about all this but the guy gives no cares at all. Apparently, people who aren't worth his time aren't worth anything else. He's stronger than me (pun may have been intended) in that sense. Don't know what to feel about that.

About actual development: You can now see me typing out the brief thoughts Céleste gives me, so another step on the road to vocality.

Cheers, and thanks for reading.

He lives by the book and will die by the book, shame

At least he's honest about what he actually thinks. It would be hypocritical of him to state things that he does not believe in, although he clearly acted like a little shit about it

That's what happens when you tell a man of science that you can make people in your head, it doesn't sound credible at all with no other basis and even then science does not actually endorse plurality or tulpamancy for that matter, the error here is close-mindedness

A wise man once said: 'Before judging a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? He's a mile away, and you've got new shoes.'

Graced are those who could avoid this phenomenon. This is perhaps the worst expression of evil in humanity's history, but who am I to judge?

Look, I'm 100% alright with people not "believing" in this. I'm not alright with a person being a dick about it for no reason and without even trying to listen.

Whatever. Thinking about this only makes me want to drink, and let's not derail the thread.
