Hexenwahn September 8, 2015 Author September 8, 2015 Also, I hate driving but Tri loves it, which is why they started taking over all the driving. Isn't that dangerous? :P
Luminesce September 8, 2015 September 8, 2015 Wow tulpa racism.. If you don't like driving you'll probably feel more anxious, stressed, or generally uncomfortable. And if you like driving you'll probably be more aware and prepared for what's going on. So it's probably better to let them drive in this scenario. It's only dangerous if a tulpa doesn't have good control of the body yet, or if they're less mentally prepared. Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
Hexenwahn September 8, 2015 Author September 8, 2015 I'm guessing they can draw the knowledge they need from your memory or something?
Luminesce September 8, 2015 September 8, 2015 I think most tulpas have access to all of their host's knowledge/memories. That seems to be becoming the norm. True for me, anyway. Not true of all tulpas though, especially not tulpas of those new to tulpamancy. Like I said, unless they're less mentally prepared. My tulpas are probably... Well, Tewi is probably more well prepared to drive than I am. I'm not sure the others would want that kind of responsibility. Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. To think I am sharing the road with crazed tulpa drivers careening down the highway, half of them ponies to boot!
Hexenwahn September 8, 2015 Author September 8, 2015 Lol! Don't be afraid, I was joking when I asked about the danger. Muscle memory most likely gets the job done.

[Hail] Safer, actually, though not primarily for the reasons that Luminesce pointed out. The reasons are: Tri is left-hoofed and I am right handed, so they can operate the wheel in a more coordinated fashion than I can while shifting (our car is a manual and we aren't in the Common Wealth). It usually takes me a couple seconds when looking in the mirrors to gauge the speeds of other cars. Tri can do it in less than a second, which means they can keep their eyes forward more. At night, Tri is better at gauging the locations and speeds of other cars from their headlights reflecting in the mirrors without looking at the mirrors than I can. Then, there is one other little thing we have, which is me being the backup. One time, Tri fell asleep and disconnected from the body putting me into full control without a hiccup (our swaps have blending so we can swap mid-sentence without problem) and so we didn't even wander in the lane at all. [Tri] You will have to pardon Hail, she lost control suddenly - she was reaching her endurance limit. The way it currently works out is that if Hail tries to drive, we get pulled into control automatically even if both Hail and us fight it - basically, we have become default with regards to driving. Do these driving tulpas have a license? NO! To think I am sharing the road with crazed tulpa drivers careening down the highway, half of them ponies to boot! Hail did train us well, though memory sharing and muscle memory was enough. She was there keeping a close eye the first several times. OUr knack for driving was actually found the first time, which was on a long 5 hour road trip. But yes, whenever we are on the road, there are three ponies on the road. Though to be fair, when Hail is driving, there sort of is one too (the little (she is about 8 in age) in her subsystem has really latched onto ponies and has a pony form dragging the other two along since it is just easier for them to not fight it). Nyx September 9, 2015 September 9, 2015 Hi everyone! I'm new here. I've been reading a couple of guides and threads and I've been wondering: How much different can your tulpa's tastes be? Like for food, music, movies, games, etc. And what are your tulpa(e)'s specific tastes that differ from yours? For Hikari, I'm not yet sure as our relationship just started a week ago, but when I'll get responses, I'll make sure to ask. As others have said, your tulpa will likely have similar tastes until she's further exposed to different things. I find it to be one of the most fun aspects of tulpamancy. I introduce all sorts of things to my tulpa, and it's always interesting to see how he'll respond. The possibility of him disliking something has never bothered me. He and I share similar tastes in some things, though he claims that I tend to be more "intellectual" in my choice of movies or music. For example, both of us enjoy sci-fi, but I'm more likely to pick something like Blade Runner or 2001: Space Odyssey...whereas he'll go for something more lighthearted such as Star Wars. He's also far more visual and action-oriented, so anything that is flashy or fast-paced will win him over, regardless of whether the story is good or not. He doesn't seem to be interested in reading novels unless it is horror or adventure. He seems to really like graphic novels, as long as the art appeals to him. I read a lot of non-fiction, whereas he will avoid it like the plague, but he really enjoys having me summarize it for him and add my own critique. His taste in music is not as eclectic as mine...I tend to like every genre under the sun whereas he tends to stick to just a few different forms of rock and dance music. Our tastes in video games are nearly identical, though our "favorites" are different. As for driving, I love going fast in my car, and he loves going fast in his ship, so you could say that we take turns depending on which version of reality we're visiting. We're both speed demons. He also smokes...whereas I don't plan of ever touching a cigarette. Progress report ∞ Personal blog ∞
Dice September 11, 2015 September 11, 2015 Mrs. Bun-Bun is very into pop culture, and she only eats candy. Sam on the other hand, doesn't eat anything, and is pretty easy going when it comes to everything else. His favorite music is anything instrumental, but he's fairly neutral on everything else. That's just mine, though.
