Hello,

I'm a member of PsychonautWiki. We're a group studying and cataloging all manner of altered states of consciousness from a skeptical and scientific perspective. We have some very interesting articles on tulpas, geometry, autonomous entities, and ego death, among many others. Our members have experimented with a wide variety of meditation and psychedelic drugs and we are always looking for more people to contribute to the site and share their experiences.

I have found the tulpa phenomenon to be very interesting. And many of our members have created tulpas of their own. Although I am not yet willing to conclude that tulpas are anything more than a chronic hallucination we are actively researching the topic and some of our members have performed advanced switching techniques and imposition.

If you're interested in psychedelics, different strata of consciousness, or meditation and wish to study these states from as non-mystical and scientific a perspective as possible, we have a very active IRC channel and I encourage anyone who's interested to join us, although I should note the atmosphere on IRC is very informal. On our mailing list recently received some members from AI communities as well, so there's quite an intellectual vibe there.

I would also be happy to answer any questions in this thread.

Aleks

Ha, I see now that I probably should have posted this under Research if somebody wants to move it for me.

Psychonautics huh? Cute.

I see our (my thoughtform Melian and I) recent crusade to divorce tulpamancy completely from experiments using psychedelic drugs is like shouting into the wind. Few can hear us, notice or even care and it is therefore pointless. Good luck on your experiments I guess.

I do like the terms psychonautics and psychonauts. I am a rather a sober and uninteresting psychonaut I am afraid. I can't even imagine what psychedelic drugs would do to me. It is a frightening thought.

Wow. Your article on tulpas is better than anything I've seen here.. What exactly are you here to learn? I could be considered an advanced tulpamancer since I'm capable of switching and have experience with imposition, but I don't know what I really have to offer. You guys seem to have it down.

Though I don't know why you say "tulpaemancer" while pronouncing the plural as tulpas. Some say tulpae, but no one says tulpaemancer. Unless you understand Latin and decided that's how it should be spelled when paired with mancy, I guess. Anyways. Did you have specific questions or do you just want people on the IRC? I might join and discuss some stuff, I guess.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

I agree with Lumi, the article on tulpas is comprehensive and very well written! Fantastic resource! Thanks for posting the links. Good luck with your IRC discussions on tulpas.

Hey guys I'm back. I noticed some people left me messages on IRC. What I'd like to do is gather more experiences from people and upload them to the wiki. Seeing people's 'trip reports' or their reports on experiments with different forms of meditation goes a long way to helping us map out the possibilities of these altered states.

If anyone has some experience with detailed imposition, I would love to talk to them so we can explore that further.

What about extreme day dreaming? Could it be considered an "altered state" or a form of meditation? I created Melian through a process of deep prolonged day dreaming, long before I knew anything about thoughtforms and long before the internet. There is a link posted in the forum about maladaptive, compulsive day dreaming as a form of dissociation. This is how I created Melian when I was young.

Here is the thread about maladaptive day dreamers: https://community.tulpa.info/thread-maladaptive-daydreaming?pid=132301#pid132301

Just in case, I love to share this. It is a book Melian and I wrote about her. http://melianofmist.deviantart.com/art/The-Book-of-Melian-509605338

I don't have any drug trip reports for you I am sorry, my brain is kinda trippy all on it's own.

Maybe I'm just being close-minded and/or ignorant, but wouldn't using psychedelics discredit anything scientific at all about tulpamancy? I'm sure that there would be different effects, sure, but "outsiders" think all tulpamancers are nuts to begin with. Not to sound insulting or anything. . . .

James: Hello, all!

Flandre: Well, they study "altered states of consciousness", and from what I saw there's a heavy emphasis on drugs. But some of them have tulpas too, and there's a lot of meditation. I guess, anything that counts as an altered state of consciousness, right?

If anything they're probably more interested in those who managed to hallucinate things without drugs (or mental illness). They're even more into imposition than we are, but for stuff other than tulpas too. Mainly they just want reports of what it feels like to have or be a tulpa, and other effects of such. Drugs optional.

Hi guys, plain text is just me now! We've each got our own accounts: me, Tewi, Flandre, and Lucilyn. We're Luminesce's tulpas.

Here's our "Ask Thread", and here's our Progress Report (You should be able to see all of our accounts on the second page if you want)

You already know how I feel about this. If people outside the community are beginning to link tulpamancy with psychedelic drugs, that can't be good in any way. However, I think that psychedelics are only a part of what the psychonauts investigate and they are not necessarily putting the two (tulpamancy and drugs) together. I think they are more interested in the tulpas themselves and things like imposition, switching and possession than drug use and tulpas. At least, that is the impression I got from them. Here is an opportunity for folks to set the public record straight about what exactly we do and don't do (at least in general).

Well. I will just say that I don't trust this stuff. I feel like they're gonna take us away from L when they have the chance. Sorry for being so paranoic, but I don't like science trying to explain us. We are living beings. That's it.
