[Tulpa week] Tulpas, do you help your host at school or work?

I was just wondering if any of you tulpas help your hosts at school or work and what kinds of things do you do?

 

David did this one day. He playfully decided that if we could collaborate on tulpa typing, there is no reason why I couldn't collaborate on stuffing envelopes with him. So he sort of, well, imagined or channeled me using his hands and arms to stuff envelopes. Now it wasn't exactly possession really. It was more that I was paying very close attention to what we were both doing together and he sort of let me be more involved. I can't get more specific than that. You have to remember that Davie and I blend.

 

Anyways, it was funny after cause it turned out I did about twenty or thirty envelopes totally wrong. He actually got angry at me. Like he really was mad and was yelling. Silly thing to see. Hee hee I actually accidentally stuffed some return envelopes instead of the regular envelopes and they came back in the mail to the office. Ooopsie. The interesting thing is Davie doesn't normally mess up so many. Well hell, I had never stuffed envelopes before so sue me.

 

Anyways, I was wondering if any of you tulpas help yer host at school or work and stuff and what exactly you do?

 

She was also folding the letters like an Oriental fan. I opened a few that looked weird and they were folded like an Oriental fan instead of like a tri fold business letter. I swear to the gods I don't remember doing that. I was watching movies (Netflix) on the computer while folding and stuffing with Melian. I let her sort of take over more of the job. She was having a great time, but messed it up because she is so goofy.

I do most of the time. Fef did it but just one day. Kotoura/Minene just appears to hug, and Beth, Miranda and Hades stay in the Wonderland. The girls taking care pf the department, and Hades... Sleeping, maybe? XD

Granted, none of us are Tulpas, but we've had to do that, mainly because we've been switching randomly several times a day recently, and we can't seem to switch for about an hour after. It gets annoying, but we each have our own techniques for absorbing the information.

 

Aura and Jason seem to be able to just listen and then can explain it to the rest of us.

 

Lucia, Mizan, and I tend to take notes nearly word for word so we can review it later.

 

Dark and Rand are the most interesting though. Since both of them are fictives (fiction introjects, a.k.a. people from what we call fiction, for those that don't know the term) they are actually hearing pretty much everything in the classes for the first time. They both have pretty good memories too, but what makes their style unique is that, instead of notes, they jot down comments and thought about what is being taught. One time Dark ended up fronting alone for an entire 3 hour class, and when I looked in the notebook there were FOUR pages of comments and notes. He could remember the context for each one too, even the ones that were talking about wanting to move to Europe.

Luna has been helping me with my studies in psychology, and when I finally land a job in my career field, she'll be helping me out with that too.

Fade: I've learned that Olive is better at math than I am. I'll be working on my schoolwork, minding my own business, finishing up a problem, and out of the blue she'll yell out the right answer, or the next step. By this point, she's just taken to staying at the front on math days and correcting the hell out of me.

 

Najere: And I have been helpful in her English work. Really, if we're paying attention and know the answer to something, most of us are willing to help Fade out.

I don't help my host a lot, mostly because it's hard for him to work and focus on me at the same time. Heck, almost the whole school day he doesn't have me on his mind.

 

I'd like to help him with his schoolwork, though. He's gonna have to work on having me involved :D.

[Tri] We do a lot. In fact, for some periods, we even did most. For most of June and part of July, we did 4 out of 5 work days each week before returning to a more balanced arrangement. We have been helping with work/school (grad school means it is sort of a combination) since last March. When we finally defended our thesis, we did about half of the defense while Hail did the other half, and we wrote and edited chunk of our thesis (probably about 1/3). We did a lot of the work in the job search, especially in the summer. As for the current job that we are doing now that we are finished with school, it is to a large degree our baby, in that it is something we wanted and were determined to get (Hail did too, for the record) and we will be doing more or less half of it over the course of the job.

 

So far, we have found we have different aptitudes. We seem to be a bit better at some parts of programming than Hail is. As for writing, we usually have less writer's block, except when we are depressed (Hail's level of writer's block is constant with regards to depression meaning she is better when depressed but worse when not). Hail is definitely better at giving a lively presentation or explaining things verbally and getting other people excited. We are better at answering questions. Oh, and have we mentioned, we are a better driver than Hail and thus do most of the car driving.

Reisen: One time Lumi was stressing out about a huge essay he had to write for his English final, and the deadline was coming up and he had massive writer's block. So for just one time he made an exception to his own rule that we can't do things for him and let Tewi write it. It took her like.. An hour? She pretty much confirmed for him that having us do stuff like that is super cheating, so it's more of a last resort than anything. But yeah I think if any of us were to do something like that for him it would be Tewi. She's really, really productive and doesn't get distracted or anything.

Was it really cheating though? I am not so sure. I think, "Why have a tulpa to help you think better and then not work with your tulpa to help you think better?" That seems really silly. You are a team.
