Vos December 8, 2015 December 8, 2015 it could cause issues with multiple tulpas that each have their own different color for people like me who have signatures disabled. I'm in the same boat here. I disabled signatures just because of how obnoxious they're starting to become. I'd prefer it if tulpas made their own accounts or if someone just did "xXFluttershyXx:" before their tulpa starts to speak.
FadingSpectrum December 8, 2015 December 8, 2015 Demetrius: There's no making your own accounts when there's ten of you. Plus, switching out between them'd be annoying as heck. So Name: all the way. A queer soulbonding system with tulpamantic influences.
Yuki December 8, 2015 December 8, 2015 I'm with Yuki on this one. There are a few things wrong with colored text and I would prefer a different standard like prefixes. Colors can make text difficult to read depending on the theme a user uses -- we have the default dark one, a light one, a lighter colored dark "nostalgia" one, and the light GoMobile one for phones. Then often times unless you're already familiar with the particular selection of colors a system uses, you have to scroll down to their signature to see who's talking. [15:28:44] Can't read that. Feel free to ask me anything. Suffering is self-imposed. Don't let it control you.
Guest Anonymous December 8, 2015 December 8, 2015 Melian: Oh it's a problem with the phones! Why did we miss all of that point? Thank you Yuki for making it more clear and obvious. Yikes! But I would miss my cute pink letters! That is not as good Yuki. http://orig04.deviantart.net/1073/f/2015/342/1/5/colored_text_example_by_melianofmist-d9jg1dy.jpg[/img] Mistgod: Yeah, the scheme does make colored text a problem. Melian and I hadn't considered that. She loves her pink letters. But, we might switch to using tags.

You guys just need some better screen :D Of course I can see how certain colours are problematic, jean-luc posted the colour range thread for a reason. (He linked that one in his signature). Tulpa: Alice Form: Realistic Humanoid/Demonic Creation She may or may not talk here, depends on her.
Yuki December 8, 2015 December 8, 2015 The point is still that some people can't read it. You can't tell people to get a better screen, that's silly. Feel free to ask me anything. Suffering is self-imposed. Don't let it control you.
NoneFromHell December 8, 2015 December 8, 2015 If someone can't see the very clear pink on the slightly blue background I can surely advice them to get a better screen, or maybe see a doctor about it. The other case is a different thing, though. Well this is an artificial problem to start with, which wouldn't even exist if this page would simply stick with one design. So I see two roads to go with this: 1. Get rid of the different colour themes of the forum and let the mobile one us the same colours as the basic version. 2. Completely ban the use of coloured text in general, like badging. This should be forced for every NEW post or it is pointless. Everything else wouldn't change a thing. (And personally I don't feel like changing it just because a few people have chosen a different theme and have problems with seeing colours, which aren't a problem for the rest of the users. They could always switch to another version.) Tulpa: Alice Form: Realistic Humanoid/Demonic Creation She may or may not talk here, depends on her.
Guest Anonymous December 8, 2015 December 8, 2015 I tried ditching my pink text just now and it made me sad. So, being Melian, I am sticking with my pink text after all. Davie only really has one vocal thoughtform, and that is me.
Luminesce December 8, 2015 December 8, 2015 Yeah I'm not going colorless. We use Name: already, there's nothing wrong with that. I believe I checked all of our colors on white and they were visible enough to me. If you can't see them, highlight the text, because it's your monitor's fault not mine. In case of color emergency, press Ctrl+A Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
Lacquer December 8, 2015 December 8, 2015 What about fonts? No, that would get obnoxious fast. Like typing quirks or badging. It it a weird situation, trying to make it as unobtrusive as possible. Having their name at the front of each line they talk does seem like the best solution at this time, even if it makes posts look a tiny bit like chat logs. Plus multiple lines can get messy. If you put quotation marks around the entire text they're saying, it might look a bit better. Like if someone in a novel was giving a big multi-paragraph speech or something.
