Recently I reread Notre-Dame de Paris. The plot is famous, and especially the book is a masterpiece. It’s very dark, delves deeply into the major characters’ psyche and has some interesting philosophical views (as well as some metaphysical ones). I remembered how much Frollo has affected me when I first read of him, because it resonated very much with my Tulpa’s personality and mannerism.

There are some books which always stay with us and end up affecting us and very probably our Tulpas (with Harry Potter and it’s fanfictions being the pivotal one for us).

So what are your favorite books? What are you Tulpa's? Does you Tulpa’s generally shares your tastes?

Feel free to talk about the ones that you enjoy, why they affected you, or even suggest us some good reads!

Harry Potter is my favorite book series and House of Leaves is my favorite standalone book.

Melian and I read a lot of books together. There are too many favorites to list. We enjoy reading science fiction and fantasy novels. Melian wanted me to read her romance novels since I was a teenager. I used to steal my motther's romance novels to read them to Melian. There were some that were actually quite good. :-) We are currently reading Witch Wraith in the Dark Legacy of Shannara series by Terry Brooks.

How about some cult books. Anyone like either The Man in The High Castle, or Metro 2033?

{I'm not much of a literary nerd, but my favorite book would have to be the novelization of Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark}

^That kind of surprised me... as she's never said anything much about books before^

Harry Potter is my favorite book series

I like you xD. I really advise you to read Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality. It’s an internet phenomenon written even better than Rowling's saga. And I’m absolutely serious on this. It’s interesting to read it from a Tulpamancer standpoint: it’s actually this story that made me research independent mind constructs, and I ended up discovering Tulpas thanks to it.

Does manga count as a book? If so, we like to read One Piece the most because to us it is the most inspiring.

I’ve loved One Piece till the end of the Alabasta Arc, then I gradually lost interest. Its quality seems really decreased over time. Nowadays I only enjoy Tokyo Ghoul and in particular Black Butler. The latter it’s a dark revenge story with a Victorian setting. The two protagonist are both amazing and the story is well written. But my favorite manga is not too well known: it’s Kaori Yuki’s “Count Cain”, especially the early saga. Black Butler is heavily inspired from this one. Cain, the protagonist, is similar to my Tulpa’s younger self, in both personality and looks. If you ever feel like reading short stories of black comedy and (more often) well done tragedy, look it up.

I don't read much books, but Artemis Fowl was pretty interesting a few years back.

I'm not going to listen to you guys since you are all probably just talking to yourself and don't really have a tulpa like me.

Oh my, I'll have to read this. I remember hearing about it before, thanks for mentioning it.

If manga counts, I'm currently reading through Mob Psycho 100, and it's really good so far. My favorite manga right now would have to be Jitsu wa Watashi wa, though. It's funny.
