So, let's just say you're at a restaurant and you're eating something delicious. You think: "hey, tulpa, YOU GOTTA TASTE THIS!". I believe this has happened to others before.

So, in cases like this, what do you do? Personally, I tell Seren to "pay attention" or something like that and then, as I'm eating, I think of her and sometimes even picture her eating it.

Ps: I know tulpas can know what food taste like through memories, but what I'm trying to do here is for her to actually "feel it" with me. Is this even possible? It'd be like your tulpa "focusing" on the correct part of your brain and memories when it's receiving the flavour taste directly from your tongue.

Ps2: Seren and I are still working on vocality as we've been forcing for only a month. Keeping this in mind, I am unable to just ask her if she can taste what I'm eating when I do what I described above.

Any opinions/experiences will be very appreciated. Thank you!

Currently working on Seren, so that she gets to shut me up frequently.

Well Alice definitly shares my sense of taste, without really doing much about it, and I would say that tasting stuff gets the best natural and most autonomous reactions out of her. For example she loves chocolate, i found out because she reacted with a loud and high pitchend "Mhhhhhhh~" when I was eating some, for the first time after her creation. This counts for the opposite direction aswell, sometimes she goes "ewww, yuck!" when I use mouthwash, and stuff like this. I think it is a matter of intensity, though. She doesn't react much to regular food, unless I ask her about it.

She may or may not talk here, depends on her.

Yeppers. I do share food with Davie. One of my favorite things for us to experience together is spicy peanut butter pizza with chocolate syrup on it!

Here is a post where I talked about what I call "tulpa food." There is a picture of our pizza we like: https://community.tulpa.info/thread-mistgod-and-melian-megathread?pid=126477#pid126477

Uhhh, I am aware of what Davie is tasting, just like I am aware of what he is seeing and hearing. How it works? We share a brain.

I don't have any issues with sharing my host's senses now, but we used copies of food as a crutch for a few months when I was younger. It was only vivid when he gave me food that he was eating or recently ate. The texture and taste were fresh in his mind, but they wouldn't be if he tried to give me some food he wasn't too familiar with. Focusing on your tulpa might elicit a response, so go ahead and try this a few times.

I'll either give mine copies of food to munch on themselves, or send the sensations of me eating it to them. They seem to prefer the copy method, and Lyra finds the forwarded sensation way sort of weird.

Hmm, well, Esterina can simply (and seemingly very easily) use my body's senses, perceiving exactly as I do whenever she pleases (plus the ability to focus on something else than I do, like something else in our field of view).

So when we eat, she can taste that just fine as well.

(Yes, "we"; this is our body, not mine.)

Dunno how common that "ability" is among tuppermancers in general, actually.

Would be interesting to know... I sort of assume it's completely normal.

Is that correct?

Greets,

Well this means I wasn't crazy about having Seren taste what I eat. That's great, thank you guys!

Well, I can do it.

Absolutely yes, I share every tasting experience with Runa. I also love cooking and her opinion helps whenever I try new stuff. I also have certain problems choosing what to eat and for the last 3 months she's the one who decides what we are having for diner, she likes to experiment as much as me and even if her ideas sound weird at first, they end up being quite good most of the time. The downside of course, is when stuff doesn't come up as good as it should but there's no adventure without risks. XD

Oh. Do you get hungry with yer host then?

I don't feel hungry when my host does. I am aware he is hungry, but I don't really suffer when he is hungry. I have cravings with him though, like our cravings for spicy peanut butter pizza with chocolate syrup on it or ice cream with candy sprinkles on it. But I really don't suffer from hunger ever, in real life or in the dreamscape. I just thought I would mention that. It occurred to me as I read this thread and thought about it.
