Blaycon January 27, 2016 January 27, 2016 I didn't think of that before, but now that you mention it, I'd say its more like whoever gets hungry first sends us strait to the kitchen and that's enough for the other. Like a time we were playing games at night and then she comes with this urge to eat ravioli, we didn't even have any prepared so I had to actually make the dough first so we could have them, it was a good idea though, it took so much I got hungry too and it thankfully turned out well. Spicy peanut butter pizza sounds like something we must try :P, some of Runa's creations were avocado tacos and american cheese filled with ketchup, simple stuff yet 100% recommended if you want to try. Luminesce January 27, 2016 January 27, 2016 That OP sounded a little silly to me. Can't say I've had that experience. If I think one of my tulpas would like something, I usually try and prepare it for them before we switch. But never have I been at a restaurant and had that feeling. Our senses aren't linked per se, they don't feel pain when I do or anything like that. But we're about as open as systems get, and they're fully aware of anything I think or feel. So, yeah, I suppose they could just comment on it while I was eating it. But they would be going off of my immediate memories and experience, not their own. That's why I sometimes leave them ice cream sandwiches. Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. Evil January 27, 2016 January 27, 2016 Interesting thread. Dimitrov is a culinary fanatic. He can taste what I taste, and even bring some advice to the table. 'Needs a pinch of salt.' 'Bad mix, sir.' 'You didn't heat it enough!'. He tends to provide the best type of advice, and gets VERY upset if you put cold food with hot food. He eve got hurt for days after I pulled that over him (it was cold rice with something else...). It's probably the thing he gets hurt over the most. Bad food upsets him a lot, he tends to get very verbal in my mind if someone does a bad dish, and tosses a lot of insults despite being mature. I suppose the child in him loves good food. It's funny to see him whine about bad food, though. When switched in... bloke's a culinary prodigy. He just KNOWS what to do. Blak, on the other hand, only cares about food when it's, and I quote "yummy, or nothing.". Fun stuff. She can also taste what I eat, and has very poor esteem of food, despite having amazing dishes that make Dimitrov drool over the place, she will content herself by saying "It's fine. Thanks for the food, was good.". Ah, I'm too tired. I only came here to help. « — Va, je ne te hais point ! »
Temar January 27, 2016 January 27, 2016 So, yeah, I suppose they could just comment on it while I was eating it. But they would be going off of my immediate memories and experience, not their own. Since someone else mentioned this, might as well add another tally to this. We can experience food vicariously through the host, the same way we can see what she sees and hear what she hears. But it's always a step removed, since it's not us experiencing it, but rather us experiencing her experiencing it. Which is mostly fine, but it does mean we're experiencing that food through her interpretation of it. Eating while switched is a lot... rawer. You're the one interpreting that food at that point. It's interesting, because you'd think: same tongue, same sense of taste, right? But no, everyone in our system who switches has different preferences. If you're talking getting a tulpa's direct experience with food, anyone who can switch should try it. Not that you should even consider that for a while yet, LifeInside. ;) ~ Member of SparrowNR's system ~ ~ I am a soulbond. Click here to find out what that means. ~
Guest Anonymous January 27, 2016 January 27, 2016 Well, I can do it. Absolutely yes, I share every tasting experience with Runa. I also love cooking and her opinion helps whenever I try new stuff. I also have certain problems choosing what to eat and for the last 3 months she's the one who decides what we are having for diner, she likes to experiment as much as me and even if her ideas sound weird at first, they end up being quite good most of the time. The downside of course, is when stuff doesn't come up as good as it should but there's no adventure without risks. XD Aight, thought so. :) Greets, AG
kovyxen January 27, 2016 January 27, 2016 I remember some of the thanksgiving food was amazing! My favorite was the apple pie and turkey, though Ana didn't much like the meat. *shrug* I remember i thought the chocolate pie was gonna be awesome, but then it tasted weird and.. not chocolate. What kind of chocolate pie tastes more like plastic than food??? well, it was store bought so, i guess it makes sense. bleh, was still disappointing though. FadingSpectrum January 27, 2016 January 27, 2016 Eury: We just do it kind of simple-like in heeere~. If Fade's eating something and I wanna try it, I just cofront with her! And we taste it that way! Fade: This creates awkward situations where Drewbie and the Twins cofront with me at once, but it works I guess..? Eury: When we try food in the mindscape, it's kinda bland. We do base it off of Fade's memories of taste, but it never comes out the saaame. Physical world food is sooo much better~. Of course, Fade's got her own kind of tastes and we've got ours~! She doesn't eat meat, but some of us want to try it, and she won't eat spicy stuff, and she's not allowed to eat much sugar and blah blah blaaah. So that sucks right there. Physical world food is sooo much better~. Wonderland/mindscape food is an interesting thing. You get the feeling that comes with a food, the "idea" of the taste and the context that comes with it, but what's missing is the actual experience. If you eat a strawberry, and then fifteen seconds later try and remember what it's like to eat a strawberry, of course your memory will be very vivid and detailed. But it'll lack the actual experience of eating a strawberry. Same thing in the wonderland afaik, depending on how well you know the food you can remember everything about the experience of eating it, but not feel it yourself. Ah well. That's probably a skill that can be trained, like imposition. I don't imagine it would be so different from other sensory-based tulpamancy skills, just can't say it's quite as important to us. Hi!
