So, I've been forcing my tulpa, Ed, for about 4-5 weeks now, and I'm at a stage where all I can really do is narrate until we can communicate consistently. after this I plan on working on other aspects of him.

In the meantime, I have been trying to incorporate him into the things I like to do, and, thinking on it, I listen to a lot of music, and i was wondering if music has a positive affect(if any) on any kind of passive forcing. I am trying to experiment with it too, like singing to/with him, and showing him several genres of music from different time periods to give him a wide knowledge of music and pop culture and stuff. Throw some ideas my way, and if music doesn't seem to do much in your experiences, maybe tell me about other methods of incorporating tulpas into daily life while also making it fun for both parties involved.

I don't think music has a positive effect, unless it does something for you specifically that makes forcing easier. You might wanna check out the activities thread that's a couple posts down, and use the search bar to find stuff to do.

We're all gonna make it brah.

Music is very important to us personally, but not necessarily in a "background noise for forcing" way. In that sense, everyone's different in what they like to listen to while forcing. Music for some, colored noise or some such for others, and silence for even more. We don't "force" so I couldn't say. Music while wonderlanding is optional for us, I wouldn't say it makes a huge difference.

As far as I have ever heard, music can have an extremely strong effect on forcing. Music is the language of the soul. What this means is that music has a strong influence on the emotions a person is feeling. This can vastly influence your ability to focus, your state of consciousness, and how much fun your tulpa and you are having.

For me, I can't usually stand music, especially music with vocals, because it is too distracting and causes me to fade. Although I am stronger now, so I can talk over music and distracting TV shows sometimes.

Listening to music with vocals together can still work. You don't necessarily have to do anything but listen to it with your tulpa. But if you're trying to focus on your tulpa specifically, you would have to ignore the music anyways. At that point it's just background noise. We never use our music as background noise.

Instrumental music can really set a mood though.
