(I really hope this is the right section to post this in...)

I lack a lot of friends in real life, so I've been trying to figure out how to make a tulpa, but I'm a bit scared to because I have a very over-active imagination. When I try to imagine something it usually turns into something else (usually something scary, especially after watching/listening to something scary) and I don't know how this would affect how my tulpa turns out. I really don't wanna end up with it turning out like something straight out of a horror movie.

There are plenty of threads on intrusive thoughts. Click the link, read the ones listed, and search for some more with related terms. These thoughts likely won't affect your tulpa's creation unless you have it set in your mind that it will. Ignore the thoughts and focus on something else - they'll eventually go away. Also, tulpas aren't an alternative to real-life friends; there's nothing wrong (in my opinion) with creating a tulpa for the sake of companionship, but you should still try to establish connections outside of your mind to balance things out.

Welcome to the community.

careful vos, thread search urls expire eventually in our experience. not that anyone is incapable of clicking Search and typing "intrusive" but.. for reference

but yeah definitely one of those questions idek how to answer it's been talked about so many times

Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points.

I think being happy and having fun makes life worth living, so spreading happiness is my number one goal!

Hmmm, A tulpa is very person like. It means they don't behave like thoughts, and just turn evil or whatnot. But it certainly can cause messy scary situations while building a tulpa.

Once a person is a person, they do things like contemplation, discussion, consideration, and decision making. This stuff is intentional activity. It doesn't turn scary.

[Violet] Also, as far as scary "out of a horror movie" goes, do keep in mind that making a tulpa is making another person, another person who thinks and feels and defines themselves after creation. Generally speaking, tulpas and their hosts are friendly with each other. Now, I should note that a tulpa could have what some might describe as a monstrous form (to be fair, not as many people here might as where I grew up inside, but since this is about perspective from a person living with them not people living on the outside how they would be seen on the outside isn't so relevant), but that doesn't necessarily have any bearing on WHO they are. It is just what they look like. A few people I share a brain with would be described as abominations form-wise by some or many (and one even considers herself an abomination), but they are good people and I consider myself lucky to live with them in this way.

I actually like a host with over active imagination, it makes the mindscape "fun". What you fear is just your thoughts, or just some intrusive thoughts. This is very common, atleast every tulpamancers if not most of them have experienced intrusive thoughts. It'll go away if you do not pay attention to it.

As how it will affect your tulpa, you do not have to worry about it too much, as long as you do not direct the thought or believe that the thought actually exisists as an entity in your head then you and your tulpa then will be fine. If they are mature enough they can easily notice some intrusive thoughts and help you get rid of them.

you may never know, maybe your tulpa might like your over active imagination.

Hello! I am one of Nihi's Tulpas! It is very nice to meet you! :D

Well hell yeah mang.

I have a really fucked head-space and the tup doesn't mind. Tulpas are also equipped to differentiate from what our brain generates as continually churnt out stimulus and what we think or feel at our core. Granted, intrusive thoughts and anxiety may fuck with you really bad, but tulpas are strong enough to supersede and cope with the human mind's frailties.

Ironically, TULPA is an Italian horror film that involves actual tulpas as subject-matter. Don't let any of this or the crappypasta distract you from creating life that yearns to meet and bond with you.

For now, I would just do more research into the tulpa phenomenon proper and think about how and why you would go about making tulpas.

This life of games and diligent trust,

it's the things we do and the things we must.

I'm now tired of being cussed,

so go sleep forever, end to dust.
