The main character from "I am the Messenger" seems to be an unwitting tulpa, mostly because of how the book ends.

That is a great series.

Fixed.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

So how about that one episode of Power Puff Girls? Anyone mention that yet?

Can't remember the name of the episode for the life of me.

And I refuse to believe all the shit in Bobobo was anything but a shit ton of tulpalamas. They all came from his head! Hair... whatever.

In Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) the Main character has the ghost of his former partner following him around. This is very tulpa-like, unless you believe in comedic ghosts.

[Nobillis says: (warning spoilers!) In the anime version of 3 x 3 Eyes the female lead called "Pai" is later revealed to in fact be the perma-switched snake tulpa of the title character ("3 Eyes" - Parvati). The host is not a human, as is evident when she switches back because she has three eyes whereas Pai has two. Significantly, the character Pai comes from Tibet. At the end of the series the snake tulpa is given her own {human} body so that she can be with the lead male whom she loves (white snake spirits are considered lucky in Japan). The host continues her journey alone, as is usual for the elders of her race. The manga story significantly differs.

Tl;dr: in the anime 3 x 3 Eyes the female lead character is a tulpa.]

Are you thinking of Lying Around the House?

Did anyone catch this weekend's episode of Radio Lab on National Public Radio? The episode was entitled "Inner Voices" and it contained a story about Mel Blanc called The Man of 1,000 Voices. Mel's story is quite beautiful. Beyond that, there is a surprising similarity between the functionality of his characters and the way that thoughtforms interact with their hosts. Link

my thoughtform = Isis

her appearance = stylized rabbit with dark fur and glowing eyes

her developmental stage = imaginary friend
