Several months.

What's wrong with a traits list?

Nothing in particular, I just don't want to make a list with 30+ items on it then have to memorize it in order if I want my tulpa to adhere to all of them. I much prefer the "learn form experience" approach as well as having her shape some of her personality on her own.

i spent too long on the personality stage and ended up splitting my tulpa into twins

As people are actually replying to this still, I guess I should answer because I never did. 20 hours. I counted. After that it just kinda felt like it was getting nowhere so we did something else instead. I feel like it was just narration practice, had a subject to talk about. As for Roswell's personality, I guess I can see some things I thought he had and then a lot of stuff I didn't even imagine him ever having. And obviously him experiencing shit has changed him too, so he's a bit older and mature Roswell now than he was when he just got vocal.

Personality's one of those things... well, like everything else, is there really an end or a point when you're 'done' with personality? I mean, it's always, like everything else, subject to change.

I'm thinking putting as much time as possible, and as much time as you think you need would be best :P

I spent a few hours on personality (mostly before I even started forcing). However, my tulpa decided she didn't like what I had planned out and came up with something for herself.

My tulpa

Name: Tammy

Sex: female

Species: Anthro (red fox)

Working on: imposition

I didnt like the idea of telling Penumbra what she would be like, so instead i told her about traits that i were important for a person to have (cleverness, quick-witted, loyalty...and others). Everytime one of those traits pops up in real life, i make sure to explain what happened, and how that particular trait was benefitial. (Co-worker trusted me to give her advice and help her with something tricky, and keep quite about it=Loyalty, trustworthy, clever, etc... )

So I guess im not done until i can for certain determine if he displays the traits im constantly trying to build upon.

We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness in this world.

Tulpa: Penumbra

Form: Pegasus Pone

Current Stage: Everything. At once.
