Oguigi August 27, 2012 August 27, 2012 Time for Deep thinking/philosophy... the amount of intetest in Tulpas, has quite literaliy EXPLODED over the past few months, almost nobody had even heard of or was even Aware of the existent of tulpa at 2011 and before. so why now? why in the middle of 2012 has people actually started to want this? surly people have been trying to spread the word prior to 2012, so why is it soo successful now did something happen? a Spark somewhere deep in the internet? ( or maybe it has something to do with december 21st, and it's the beginning of humanity "waking up" ) _______________________________ if this phenomena grows where will all of us be 8 years (2020) from now with our tulpas, perhaps we'll become a whole new group of people/"religion" that's officially recognized by the public (what would be the public reaction?). a group of people that mastered the inner working of their subconscious/mind and have multiple personalty assume of course we well beyond mastered possession/switching pix: Link Diary: http://ponystasha.tumblr.com Koomer.
Guest Amaurus August 27, 2012 August 27, 2012 I've been noticing this more as well. My guess is that recent creepy pasta's and 4chan posts (which were both spread around the internet) sparked the bulk of the interest.
Pashoo August 27, 2012 August 27, 2012 Hmmm... This sure sounds a whole lot like the brony phenomenon... Except not as big. And it came later. And a lot of people here are part of the Brony movement, anyway. And people may or may not be more likely to consider you crazy. Also, by humanity waking up, are you referring to the New Sincerity movement? An abstract, all-encompassing love is still a love, nonetheless.

Well this sure does answer a great deal about the why/how of the tulpa phenomena, seemly from a "nomadic tribe" of early tulpae belivers determined to spread the word. but am still intertested on your guys input on the future. pix: Link Diary: http://ponystasha.tumblr.com Koomer.

Well i wouldn't quite say "Desperate" (am sure some cases exist) but you do have to deep into the fandom do even consider the idea of making a tulpa, for most, their early goals are questionable. but when they actually start creating the tulpa they become educated and serious ( it becomes more than just a fandom thing for them, and evolves into companionship). pix: Link Diary: http://ponystasha.tumblr.com Koomer.
QB2 August 28, 2012 August 28, 2012 It's a recently unearthed concept, is all. We lose public knowledge of things all the time, and find old things just as often... Combining this effect with the internet, something can go from "unheard of for hundreds of years" to a fad in potentially mere days. (Speaking conceptually of course, the dynamics of this particular trend are a bit different.) The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
