Lolimancer September 12, 2012 September 12, 2012 You know, if they invented something that will project the hologram of your tulpa into thin air and let other sees it... That would kinda defeat the point though (or maybe that's just me).

You have no idea how fucking fast I would disable the "See other people's projections" option on my theoretical HUD device. "Give a man a Truth, and he will think for a day. FigN01 September 14, 2012 September 14, 2012 I don't want to live in a society where people could show me exactly what's on their mind for everyone to see. Not even once.
cruse September 15, 2012 September 15, 2012 alright, that was a bad idea from me, let's move on. Though that kind of device would probably be used with other purpose. Drawing perhaps? Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail. Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR. Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.
Natasha September 15, 2012 September 15, 2012 alright, that was a bad idea from me, let's move on. Though that kind of device would probably be used with other purpose. Drawing perhaps? Do you really want to see the kind of things peoples imagination can create in the blink of an eye? De bedste og smukkeste ting i verden kan hverken ses eller røres, de må opleves med hjertet.
StyxxnStones September 16, 2012 September 16, 2012 Instead of thinking about how technology will make tulpa obsolete, we should be thinking about how technology will help us interact with and understand our tulpa. I'm actually gonna stick my neck out and say cruse had a good idea, one that I myself have considered. A device that lets you project your tulpa to others. In my vision at least, it wouldn't project every random thought that passed through your mind. The device would be calibrated so that you have to concentrate on the image and channel it. This would obviously take some practice but it would cut down on horrifying images being broadcast publicly. I imagine in my perfect world that this technology is unveiled for the first time, and we are all the first ones to try it. we all gather in a large hall, and get our own copies of this device. We all turn them on, and BAM, the hall is filled with tulpa of all shapes and sizes. After only descriptions and sketches for us to imagine each others tulpas, this would be a magical moment. On a different note, say perhaps robotics gets advanced to the point where we can input the consciousness of our tulpa into it. Then our tulpa would be able to have a real body that exists in the real world. I'm not sure if this would work or if it would cause the "teleporter death" thing. Just stuff to think about.
Kadoh September 16, 2012 September 16, 2012 I like the idea of a physical body, but then they may not have all of the things they had as ethereal things, E.G morphing capabilities. It would suck if it was permanent too, meaning no more wonderland adventures/pain healing abilities/telepathy. My opinions are all subject to change.

The downside to the robotic body/transfer is that you'd obviously lose the closeness with your tulpa. While in this body, they would not longer have that mental connection to you, and would really just be like any other existing creature. Although I'm not sure if this is theoretically possible, because we're not even sure how tulpas work exactly. Ideally the robot body would be temporary, because you'd want to have your tulpa "reconnect" sometimes.
