Malix March 31, 2013 Share March 31, 2013 The story around the music and the nature of the music makes Elly too nervous to let me play it for long. Guest ThunderClap March 31, 2013 Share March 31, 2013 The song isn't scary, it's the culture around it. Also it sounds so fucking annoying. BEEP BOOP BEE BOO BEEP BOO BEE BOO BWAA BWAA BEE BOO. I hope to god that is the last time I need to listen to that shit. But, yeah, other than me bones being rattled, nothing happened.
corvus March 31, 2013 Share March 31, 2013 I like the tune. It's like some japanese folk song turned evil, though I didn't like the addition of binaurals. We were both creeped out deeply with this devilishly repetitive tune. After both being creeped for a bit, we talked openly talked about it and now Luna is no longer creeped out about it. I even for fun decided to recreate the theme in milkytraker. She was happy I did something constructive out of this wierd thing we stumbled into. PS: I wasn't creeped out by this song as a kid. GGMethos May 6, 2013 Share May 6, 2013 Me and Raina are really used to using binaural beats so this song was interesting for both of us. For one, I get a headache from the normal version. The backwards version is surprisingly more enjoyable for me. Raina finds the backwards one really creepy. She definitely liked the feeling she got from the normal version. Jabre June 19, 2013 Share June 19, 2013 I got no reaction other than boredom. It's just the original lavender town theme with shitty binaural tones (that don't do anything) layered in the background. The screeching you're talking about is just an image synth similar to that used somewhat frequently in the late 90s with IDM artists (examples: 1 2 3 4) to make this image. Running it through a quick spectogram myself, I got the same thing. There's nothing else to the file than that. Regardless, the entire file and story attached is complete bullshit. The soundcards in gameboys couldn't handle even the smallest sliver of the midtones of a binaural or isochronic tone, let alone image synth or SSTV frequencies. But I suppose knowing this all ruined the placebo effect. If I'm looking to scare my tulpa I'll just listen to some on repeat. Can you verify that isochronics cannot be put into a GB machine? They require far less than binaurals, and I found them in the sound wave of LT here.
