I, personally, was clueless. I'll might not be good to post today (as a heads up,) but while right now I must go, it's freaking snowing.

[i find it such a shame more tulpae don't talk at all :( I want to get to know the real Vixen, THE REAL AIGIS, THE REAL ASDIFHUASIU.]

That's why we need to do real time rolepay over skype... or rather you guys need to. You know how I am, and I've basically lost touch with this thread due to both things being hectic and an inane desire to complete my tulpa before rejoining.

I apologize, you might as well do dynamic storytelling from now on, you all seem to be doing an excellent job of it (looks pretty fun).

I have a dice rolling program that works over skype

Monitoring "Who's Online" is a bit creepy, if you think about it, assuming that's how you can see who's viewing.

Ah, I understand. Resume your playful word-tomfoolery as you were.

((I can't help but feel this that original statement may have been directed at me. To be clear, I couldn't care less about viewing the "Who's Online". I really only check this thread for updates.

Also: Heheheeee.... Tomfoolery. Tom Sawyer. Huckleberry Finn. God, I loved that book... Pudding.

"What the fuck are you on?"

I have no clue....))

((Yeah, the Skype thing would be great if it weren't for the Time Zone problems. All three of us are in different Zones.

P.S. Holy shit! You're alive! I thought you had left us!))

It's tough being the only asian here... Time zone is such an annoying problem.

Though, does anyone actually understand the story behind us four? I think what I wrote was quite hard to understand.

"Well, let's follow Miss Kuroha for now, you owe our 'best shot' her cloak anyway."

Aigis said to Vixen. Vixen agreed and both of them followed the demon of the leaves into the forest.

They have set up camps after a while of trekking through the forest. Fortunately, there were no encounter with any monsters. After Takaya has been killed, many monster have become much more docile and does not actively search for preys like before, but an encounter with one of them would still leads to a fight or flight decision. Vixen's belonging were either burned or left in her former house, despite that, she was still able to create a weak antibiotic and weak regenerative salve to treat Miah's wound.

Vixen went to sleep first as Aigis decided to take first shift looking out for monsters. Having nothing much to do, Aigis decided to start a conversation.

"So, how long have you been living in the forest?"

"I don't know any healing magics so I doubt I'd be of much help. I can't really use magic to diagnose a symptoms either. But I could try to sense the state of her soul."

Cruse closed his eye. Using a technique he recently used to find Chloe, he sees two glowing soul in front of him.

One of them is bright, vibrant with worry. The other, pulsing irregularly and weakly. Looking at Joal's soul, he learned that it is not a simple sickness. Her very soul is weakened.

"Vixen might know something, but we can't go back to Albion town any longer. I could teleport us to a town nearby. We might find someone who knows about this."

Erm... I'm not sure if I overstepped any boundaries. Is Joal THAT sick?

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

((I understand it well enough, it's quite the intricacy, I give you my full props for it! And yes, she's very sick. [Oh no! *Hoof to head. Faints*]

I'll get Joal to post tomorrow, I have people coming over today and I've no time to write up the message I want to. I'll have her do the time skip too.))

And please, call me G.

((I understood the backstory just fine.))

The two had decided to come along after all. They followed her throughout the woods, generally heading east, until Miah found a suitable grove where they could set up camp. The Huntress knew that with her new companions, if that was the right word, would come new annoyances. Something made Miah doubt that either of them would would be able to sleep in trees without falling out and cracking their skulls open, so finding suitable resting places each night was a new chore. There was also the new problem of food. She would have to hunt to sustain all three of them now. These were not monumental issues, but they would be sure to grate on Miah's nerves.

After their accommodations were set for the night, Miah took to the trees, as was her habit. There, she began to examine her wounds. Removing her shirt, so that a her makeshift supports were the only thing keeping her top-half decent, she could see the wound was worse off than she had thought. The dagger was long and had created a deep wound that was still bleeding. It might leave a fair sized scar once it healed. Vixen had offered some of her medicines awhile ago, but Miah was not about to let the Medicine Woman give her anything after the side effects from last time. Besides, Miah was no stranger to treating her own wounds.

As she worked her way down her tree, she heard the man, Aigis, ask, "So, how long have you been living in the forest?" Miah laughed as she reached the ground. She knew this question would come eventually, but she hadn't expected it so soon. The leaves cracked softly beneath her feet as she walked past the man and away from the fire. She turned around and, with an uncharacteristic smile, says, "Come on. We can walk and talk. Don't worry about Vixen. The fire will be enough to keep most animals away. Besides, after what we saw today, I'm fairly certain she can take care of herself." She turned and walked on, the fire light dancing across her bare back as she moved away from the camp.

She had noticed a small stream not too far from camp. She would need the water to treat her injury. Hearing the leaves rustle behind her, she assumed Aigis was following behind her and began. "How long have I been living out here?" She laughed again. The combination of the forest and night time seemed to bring out a jovial humor in her. "Hell, it feels like most my life has been in the forest. Most people look down on it, you know? They think it's dirty or uncivilized. If they took a moment to look at the shit running through their city streets, they might think differently.

"Yes, I guess most of my life has been in the woods." They were nearing the stream now. The gurgling of running water was becoming louder and louder. Now far away from the fire, the darkness of the forest had enveloped him, and while Miah was comfortable moving in the dark, she kept talking so Aigis could still follow the sound of her voice. "I was born in a fair sized town actually. Ceron, I think it was called. It's a far way west from here. I even lived in a nice home for awhile.

" Then, around five, I think, my parents became ill. I really don't remember much about them. My mother was a musician and a singer. Very pretty. My father was lucky to have her." Her voice was becoming softer now as she slips into the fog of the past. "I remember that, each night before I went to sleep, she would play the piano for me. It was beautiful... The music seemed to take on a life of its own. One moment it was vibrant and alive, then the next it made you want to cry your eyes out..." She sighed. "I suppose it's a bit like life, huh?"

They had reached the spring. In the distance, the light of the fire could still be seen flickering. The water was cool and lowered the temperature of the area ever so slightly. Without any warning, Miah took a seat on a stump and began to undress, starting with her boots and working her way up. Modesty seemed to be of little concern to the woman.

"Anyway, after my parents passed, I was sort of on my own. The rest of the town viewed me as dirty, or cursed, or something ridiculous like that. My parents had no relations in the town, so that avenue of care was out the window. No one wanted anything to do with me. Doors shut in my face, people went to the other side of the street when I walked by, and I was lucky to buy food from the local vendors. My parents left me their estate and a fair sum of money, so I didn't starve, but it was lonely. I missed the sound of my mother playing music. So I taught myself. There wasn't anything else to do."

By now, she had fully stripped down and hung her clothes on a nearby branch. She didn't seem to care what the man saw. She approached the edge of the water and stuck her toe in, only to quickly recoil. It was freezing. Still, she stuck her foot in once again, and then her calfs, then up to her thighs, then her hips, until she was submerged up to her waist in the stream. Soon, she began to wash herself, ridding herself of the blood from the days endeavors. Drawing the water over her hair, she took care to avoid splashing any on her shoulder. As useful as the water was for washing, it may still contain harmful bacteria that could infect the wound.

As she washed her body, the Huntress continued to talk over the stream, "I got to the point where I could play almost any of the sheet music my mother had left behind. It was weird. When I played, it was like she was right there with me, still playing me those bedtime songs. When the music was playing, everything was alright again. But songs only last so long. I couldn't stay in that house. Not all by myself. It was like living in a big, empty tomb. It depressed the shit out of me. So I left. No one else was going to look after me, so I just sort of went out into the woods. I think I was about nine around this time.

"Granted, I didn't become the badass I am today overnight. Hell, I didn't even spend the night in those woods for awhile. I would just venture out there during the day. Anything to get away from that house, from those people, from everything." The moon started to come out just then, lighting up the stream with its luminescence. If Miah noticed the shift in lighting, she didn't seem to care. Her eyes were closed as she washed, lost in the past.

"I remember, I used to get so scared out here." She laughed, loud, full of mirth. It rang through the forest. It seemed odd coming from the so called 'Demon of the Leaves'. In that laugh, it was as if that happy, five year old child was coming out to play, for just a moment. "I even used to jump at the damn squirrels!"

Walking out of the stream, she shook herself off, like a dog. Then she began to slip her clothes back on. "I can't remember when, but one day I stopped being so afraid. I was walking though those woods, when I heard the birds singing. They had always been there, but I never really heard them. Suddenly, there was music in the trees and I wanted so much to be up there with them. So, I found the lowest branch and started climbing.

After she had dressed, she took out a small container and filled it with stream water. After the wooden bottle was filled, Miah began to make her way back to camp, assuming Aigis was still trailing behind. " It must have taken me two hours at the least. I remember almost falling a few times." She laughed again "I was so fucking young. But still got up there. Right there with the birds. It was amazing. I must have sat up there all day, just listening and watching them. Thing is," she was holding back another laugh, "when the sun started to go down... I realized I had no idea how to get down." Her laugh burst through the trees again.

"Can you believe that? Me! Being stuck in a tree!" She had to stop a moment and lean on a nearby tree, she was laughing so hard. "Oh, goodness..." She began back towards the camp, though she stopped for a moment, and picked a number of small, green berries from a bush. After that, she stayed quiet, presumably collecting her thoughts. Once they reached the grove again, Miah constructed a holder and began to boil the water from the stream over the fire.

Still quiet, she sat down next to the fire and leaned in close, drying herself with the heat. She stared into the flame for awhile, a somber mask replacing the face that had only moments ago been full of laughter. After a minute or so, she spoke up again.

"So, I spent my first night in the forest and I slept in a tree for the first time. Well, slept doesn't quite do it. I was scared out of my mind. I swear that I saw eyes everywhere. They were in the trees, on the ground, in the air, everywhere. I cried myself to sleep that night." The tears actually began to well up in her eyes. The woman still stared into the fire.

"That night, more than ever... I just wanted to see my Mom and Dad..."

Then she was quiet. After a minute or so, she noticed the tears running down her cheek. Her face went red. Wiping her eyes with her hands, she smiled. "Shit, look at me... I'm sorry. I've been talking your damn ear off this entire time, huh? Well, I'm here now, huh? There's more to it, but that's for another time. I'll shut up now and you should get some sleep. I'll keep watch."

Miah leaned over the fire and crushed the berries into the bowl, which had now come to a simmer. She berries would serve as a good medium to cause the wound to clot and stop the bleeding. The hot water would also clean her shoulder. After that, all Miah would have to do was wrap the wound with a light cloth, giving it room to breath and heal. It would be sore for about a month, but it shouldn't present too many problems.

After taking the time to treat her shoulder, Miah bided a goodnight to Aigis and took to her tree. She swung and clambered up nearly all the way to the top. At times during the accent, it seemed as if she was flying.

Later in the night, if one listened close enough, they may have been able to hear a soft sobbing, as the Demon of the Leaves allowed herself to remember that nine year old girl who had once been so unsure and afraid so many years ago.

((I don't plan on doing too many time skips. I know travel times like these can seem boring because there is so little action, but they are great times to build relationships between characters and really develop the story. I know this post is long, but I thought it was necessary to build Miah's character. Besides, I gave Aigis plenty of things to react to. I don't plan on making too many of these giant posts, but I hope I made it engaging enough to keep your attention.

"I personally thought it was fucking beautiful. I actually started to tear up at some points."

Ditto.))

Long post is always welcomed, it's a good read.

Miah's back story is pretty interesting, I'm sure you can develop lots of stuff out of it.

I'll let you guys initiate time skip, the character on our side is more or less a follower ATM. Therefore, I'll just write Aigis's thought down for now.

|Aigis|

"How long have I been living out here? Hell, it feels like most my life has been in the forest. Most people look down on it, you know? They think it's dirty or uncivilized. If they took a moment to look at the shit running through their city streets, they might think differently."

That explains it, she's truly a child of the wood.

Aigis thought to himself as he listened silently. He had been walking around the forest with the huntress for sometime now. He hoped that nothing would decides to get eaten by Vixen back at the camp.

"I was born in a fair sized town actually. Ceron, I think it was called. It's a far way west from here. I even lived in a nice home for awhile. Then, around five, I think, my parents became ill. I really don't remember much about them. My mother was a musician and a singer. Very pretty. My father was lucky to have her."

I can't make a leap of logic from musician to huntress...

Aigis decided not to ask and let Miah tell her tale as she will. After a breaking a few branches, which are mostly broken by Aigis who is not as experienced in the forest, they reached a small pudle of clean water, a spring. He could use some shower, but Much to his surprise, Miah had already started taking off her clothes. Guess he's not getting a shower for the moment.

That doesn't sounds right... Why would she be treated like that?

Aigis thought to himself. Miah is already naked, and decided to take a dip in the spring. The naked huntress's reaction definitely shows that the water is clearly at one digit of degrees Celsius. Aigis gave a small, probably unnoticed, chuckle.

"I got to the point where I could play almost any of the sheet music my mother had left behind. It was weird. When I played, it was like she was right there with me, still playing me those bedtime songs."

Everyone's parents just had to die eh? Guess life never gives us a break...

"When the music was playing, everything was alright again. But songs only last so long. I couldn't stay in that house. Not all by myself. It was like living in a big, empty tomb. It depressed the shit out of me. So I left. No one else was going to look after me, so I just sort of went out into the woods. I think I was about nine around this time. Granted, I didn't become the badass I am today overnight. Hell, I didn't even spend the night in those woods for awhile. I would just venture out there during the day. Anything to get away from that house, from those people, from everything."

Why did she chose the wood over the piano? I guess she had the same reason as me, people can be disgusting.

The moon started to rise from the skyline. She's bright tonight. The moonlight shined on Miah's angelic body in the water. Who would have guess that this fine lady could kill dozens with just two knife and a graceful sleight of hands? But Aigis also noticed something else, Miah's face. It's not the usual mask she's wearing. She seemed... lonely. Have he caught glimpse of the real Miah behind the 'Demon of the woods' persona?

"I remember, I used to get so scared out here. I even used to jump at the damn squirrels!"

Who wouldn't? The woods is not an ordinary place. I'm already impressed with her refined tree climbing skills.

Aigis weren't surprised. Even now, he's still scared of the forest. Miah is laughing, her laugh is full of joy. She's definitely a child at heart. But the engineer wondered, did he sensed a faint sadness in that laugh? He brushed off the thoughts as he continued to listen to Miah, who seemed to have finished washing herself. She's definitely not civilized, yet she is graceful.

As she dress herself up, she continues talking about her past.

Miah's past is quite tragic, yet respectable. She carved her own path, played by her rules, and utilize method as she sees fit. If not for her strong and brave attitude, Aigis is certain that she'd never leave Ceron. Miah's soul is truly a free spirit.

They returned to the camp, fortunately, none of the monster decided to disturb Vixen. Aigis couldn't help but to think that the monster could sense that Vixen is a predator, not prey, and decided to keep away from the group. But that's pretty unlikely.

They both sat around the fire in silence for a while. And Miah's resume recalling her early years.

"So, I spent my first night in the forest and I slept in a tree for the first time. Well, slept doesn't quite do it. I was scared out of my mind. I swear that I saw eyes everywhere. They were in the trees, on the ground, in the air, everywhere. I cried myself to sleep that night."

Miah's crying.

"That night, more than ever... I just wanted to see my Mom and Dad..."

Miah's crying. A mask can only hides one's true face for so long. The Miah under the disguise of 'Demon of the Woods' is still a child, a child that yearns for the warmth and love of family. Aigis wished he could do something to help her, but he know he couldn't.

The worst Aigis ever had was a bad decision that costed hundreds of lives. The guilt weighted heavily, but he wasn't sure if the weight of guilt could ever match the weight of loneliness and despair. Vixen's life was horrible, she was experimented on and fooled into killing her own family. Miah's life was cruel, she had to endure the torment of being alone, without family, without friends. It's her against the whole world. Two women endured a much bitter fate than himself, and he was the only one who ended up running away by drinking. Aigis felt pathetic.

Miah noticed she was crying, and blushed. Wiping off her tears, she volunteered to keep watch and told Aigis to go to sleep. Aigis got up, and before going to sleep, he said;

"It's not easy being alone. But you're not anymore."

With that said, the engineer walked over beside Vixen and lie down.

Just know that Aigis said only one line here.

''No... no I-.... maybe I'm over reacting... we'll talk about this in the morning.'' He hated himself for saying that, but he didn't know what else to say. They could have teleported to a near by town but the man bottled up his insecurities by simply making excuses to himself: no one could help anyway...

G did sleep, but only briefly; the constant stammering and jittering kept awakening him from his sleep, not to mention Joal's own movements. Morning came after a time, the man awoke earlier than he usually did; the sun was still dozing over from its dreams.

He rose from the two's make shift bed of a single blanket on uneven ground and started walking mindlessly into the forest. His hand's somnambulantly picked at bushes and twigs for any berries or nuts that may have sat under-leaf. After ten minutes of hopelessly grabbing and smelling and examining various fruits and bits, he returned to camp, his satchel only brimming with potential foods—over half of which would have to be thrown out under the warning of the pony.

Entering the clearing here they had set up their resting base he seen something that made his skin crawl. Down the pony's spine was a grey mark; he thought maybe it was a neat shadow from one of the trees but taking a slower look her realised it was too precise to by a simple shadow. He sheepishly walked back towards the encampment and placed his berry-packed satchel beside the blackened fire. The siblings were still fast asleep, luckily enough for the man.

He walked around and knelt down beside where he had been sleeping that night, he brushed the fur the wrong way to reveal this pony's skin. The white fur had given him false hope; he almost threw up, the mark was an oily black that shinned in the sun. He reared from his partner with a yelp, grabbing his chest and hammering heart, scared shitless by what he had just seen.

He went for another walk, this time not caring about the passing brightly coloured fruits. His rational was screaming at him to go back and wake the group and and scream at them in horror but his hopes told him to just calm down and pretend that nothing was wrong, that it was just a weird rash.

By the time he had returned to the party, and the sun had rubbed the sleep from its eyes, every one had awoken. He unfortunetly approached from the same position and caught a glimpse of the same jerring streak on the back of the pony; she was sorting through the multitude of varieties nuts and berries with a careful eye and tenderness only she could muster. ''Why in god's name did he load all this shit back to me?'' She said, chucking a highly poisonous blackberry-mimic to the side of the camp.

''Oh, g- good morning guys. Hope you's don't mind I went on a walk?'' The party looked at him and rolled their eyes universally, okay, they didn't mind, cool.

''We were waiting for you to start breakfast.''

''Oh, sorry, just needed to get the mind going.''

The pony shrugged off the weird statement and asked the party, ''So when's we moving on?''

[i got fuck all screen time there!]

You should have typed up your own post then. Chloe, Cruse, you guys can do what you wish here. If you want to move onto the planes now, go ahead; when we do all I'll be doing is describing it and giving choices and stuff. You guys don't know about the streak yet.

Also, once again, Joal's fault nothing was posted yesterday. :P [sowwie :( ]

And please, call me G.

Crap, wraith?

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

Miah spent the night in her tree, overlooking the camp. The night was generally uneventful, save a stray dog wandering through the sight and Miah's own self-loathing. She was disappointed in herself for revealing so much to Aigis. She had been carried away by her own emotions, causing her to prattle on. He didn't need to know. She worked so hard to build up distance between others, and in one stupid, emotional flight of fancy all of that was wrecked to pieces. Aigis had even tried to console her! She didn't need his help. She wouldn't be viewed as some weak, maudlin, doll of a girl that needed a shoulder to cry on!

About an hour before dawn, Miah left the camp. Bounding from tree to tree, she covered distance quickly. Following a few signs she had noticed during the night and a well worn game trail, it wasn't long until she found a family of deer sleeping in a small clearing. In the twilight, the Huntress could see the animals bodies lull up and down as they slept. Towards the middle of the group was a large buck. Sporting a large rack of antlers and a strong, sleek frame, he was no doubt a first choice among all the does in the territory. The large group around him was a testament to that. Miah almost felt guilty in stealing their mate. Still, natural selection was a bitch.

Slowly, as to not disturb any of the family from their slumber, she brought out her bow and notched an arrow. The buck, being in the middle, was going to be a difficult mark to hit, especially if she wanted a clean kill. The neck was exposed, but that wouldn't result in a quick death. The buck would suffer and Miah would have to chase it until it died from the loss of blood. The chest was the area to aim for. Pierce the lungs, perhaps the heart. Little suffering, even less blood. The less blood the better for what Miah had planned.

Breathing in slowly, she pulled back her arrow and sighted in on the small part of the deer's chest that was showing. Tension.

Release. The arrow leapt from the bow and cut through the cool morning air. Flying true, it embedded itself into the buck's chest with a dull thud. The buck awoke and screamed in pain, it's eyes wide. The rest of the group, startled by the males cries, stood immediately and bolted from the clearing. The buck attempted to follow, but collapsed before he could even reach the tree line. Lying in on the forest floor, sparsely covered by dead leaves, wet from the morning dew, the male moaned and struggled to breath.

Miah dropped from her tree and quickly made her way to the dying animal. His abdomen heaved as he fought for each breath, snorting and groaning. His eyes were wide and filled with fear. Any man who claimed animals did not feel emotion had obviously never hunted, as the buck before Miah was certainly afraid, afraid of death. Miah drew one of her knives and ended the creature's suffering quickly. As his life faded away, Miah whispered a quiet and melancholy thanks and wished him a quick journey to wherever all souls go.

Once death had overcome the buck's body, Miah removed her blade and wiped the blood upon some leaves. Now the real work would begin. If Miah had only needed the buck for meat, she could have simply cut away the choice parts and left the rest of the buck for Nature to reclaim. However, she needed quite a bit of the buck's resources, so she would have to drag the body all the way back to camp. In life, the male had been a strong and fit. His antlers must have been at least seventeen points. He was large and he was going to be very heavy.

Miah scowled. The prospect of dragging the buck all the way back to camp was not an appealing one. Not because of the work involved, but because it was disrespectful to the animal. Still, she couldn't see any alternative. Miah cursed. The thought of going back to camp and asking for help passed through her mind, but it was crumpled into a ball and burned with the flames of pride. She'd be damned if she'd beg for help from Vixen or Aigis.

So, grudgingly, she took hold of the buck's antlers with both hands, turned, and began to drag him behind.

Very Difficult.]

[/align]

Miah strained with the effort. The buck might as well have weighed a ton. The Huntress was used to pulling the considerable draw weight of her bow, but the buck was in a whole other realm of heavy. Slowly, the body began to move. Miah grunted as she worked for every inch she covered. Sweat began to slide down her forehead and she could feel it begin to wet the rest of her body. Behind her, the sun was beginning to rise, heating her back. A cool morning breeze chilled her, working with the sweat to become colder than usual. She shivered and panted at the same time. Every step was an accomplishment. The wound in her shoulder screamed at her to stop. She screamed back.

After awhile, Miah looked over to notice her shoulder had begun to bleed profusely again. She groaned as the hot blood mixed with cold sweat. The bandages would need to be changed. Her chest seemed to also be against her. Cumbersome and heavy as they were, her breasts caused her to loose her balance and fall on multiple occasions. If Vixen was anywhere in the vicinity, Miah would have slapped her as hard as she could. As attractive as her new chest was, it was also a tremendous pain in Miah's ass.

After about an hour of struggle, Miah looked up to see the camp only yards away. Drenched in sweat, exhausted from exertion, bloody from her own shoulder, and thoroughly annoyed with her own figure, she summoned the last bit of her strength, growled, and nearly ran into the camp, dragging the giant buck behind.

Finding herself inside the camp, she promptly collapsed next to the buck, and without a missing a beat, unsheathed a knife and began to skin it. They would use the meat for food, obviously. Some of the bones could be fashioned into tools. The antlers could be sold and any town for a good deal of money, but they held little practical value. Miah had often entertained fashioning an outfit complimented with the bones of multiple animals. Perhaps she could somehow use the antlers in that endeavor. Definitely a wolf skull for the head piece though. Sacred the shit out of people. Fear was always a useful weapon. The deer's skin was of paramount concern to Miah, though. With it, she intended to fashion something for Vixen to wear other than her grey cloak.

Tired, annoyed, and back in her usual, dark humor, Miah yelled toward the basic shelter her companions were in, "Wakey wakey, kids! Breakfast is fucking served!" She prayed to whatever gods there may be that she had just interrupted two pleasant slumbers. She would slice some good cuts of meat from the buck and one of the two could cook it on the fire.
