Well, my thoughts on this is that since Tulpa isn't a Latin word, we shouldn't give it a Latin ending. So, no more Tulpae

Or am I missing something...

Maybe the last few pages, if you didn't read about the ongoing contention. Otherwise, no: That's just about the size of it.

Tul-pa-lamas.

Though seriously, when it boils right down to it, the word tulpa is just a word and if you want to be technical, it's only partially based upon what we actually do. If I'm not mistaken, a tulpa is just a mind form, isn't it? Not a "sentient" mind form like we put it. Just a mindform.

My banana is a tulpa.

Just saying... you can call your mind-demon, mental-sex-partner, invisible-calculator whatever the hell you want and in technicality it won't be wrong. Heck, the only reason I can think of us using tulpa constantly is because it's universally (or at least community wise) accepted as our sentient mindforms.

So as long as you've got the tulpa or some variation of the word, it's not /that/ wrong.

I still like the term tupper lol

Except this one. Fk dis one.

I like "tulpa", but I understand the desire to distance what we're doing from the tibetan idea. "Thoughtform" is my favourite alternative, and one I use almost interchangeably with "tulpa" in conversation. I see no problem with it being a translation, as that effectively acknowledges the inspiration while implying a distinction. Also, it just seems very descriptive and spirituality-neutral to me.

My friend calls his tulpas, "tuppies". I thought it was adorable.

That is so cute! I just imagine a bunch of chibi-style tulpa falling down and stuff x3

I second this motion for "tuppies" to be the official name

Tulpa: Adryan Form: Anthro wolf-ish Stage: *sighs loudly*

Age: Looks 17, is actually 1 1/2

“Human beings can always be relied on to assert, with vigor, their god-given right to be stupid”

-Dean Koontz

“In the end, I worry that my arrogance shall destroy us all”

-Brandon Sanderson

Yes! :3

I can see it now...

"Tuppie Creation Guide" "New to Tuppie.info?"

Tulpa: Adryan Form: Anthro wolf-ish Stage: *sighs loudly*
