Also, I believe it is insulting to tell a soulbond or a daemon they are something that "has the potential to become a tulpa" as if tulpas are the end all of everything headmate. Pfffft. No, they aren't. (sorry Mistgod influence here, but I believe it too)

This. I second this.

Honestly, as humans, we aren't even sure about what consciousness is. Who is anyone to say that "tulpas" are the "supreme seperate consciousness" that can be created, without even knowing about what consciousness is? And secondly, are our tulpas actually "tulpas"? Do they fit to the original practice of tulpas? I mean, all of the reliable sources of tulpas go back to one woman, and there doesn't seem to be actual tangible knowledge behind that other than transcribed scripts and almost non-existent amounts of information left behind by people if I remember correctly.

You know what Melian, I'm starting to get Davie's point. I was afraid of arguing about what tulpas are because I thought that it would devaluate their existence, and that I would start doubting the legitimacy of Céleste's importance, like I used to when I started working on him the first time.

I can see that I'm wrong now. I remember reading Davie write about how you would always be important for him, no matter what others said or thought about you. I have only recently started to understand what he means by that. I don't have even the quarter of experience that you guys had while interacting, but I simply can't ever "forget about" or "devalue" Céleste anymore. Just spending one and half a month with him has burned this inside my brain.

Yeah, this has turned into a rant, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I see where you're coming from.

I'm SomethingDire, and Céleste is my partner in crime.

Thanks you. It's nice to know at least one person agrees with all those rants Misty did about tulpamancer elitism based on ridiculously flimsy-wimpy literary sources. Mistgod also believes there is far more day dreaming and role playing involved in thoughtforms on the internet than people are willing to recognize or admit. We both recognize that day dreaming and role playing, rather than being disdainful false-fakery is actually a significant and intrinsic ingredient in tulpamancy, soulbonding and daemons.

Why are people so afraid to talk about that and admit it? Mistgod is not the only person out here with a thoughtform that has these elements, flat out.

There is no distinct line of separation between day dreaming and role playing and tulpa sentience. Such an assertion, that there is a distinct separation, is obviously false (in our humble mumble opinion).

In other words, it is a lie.

EDIT: Note - We are not denying thoughtform sentience with the above statements. What we are saying is that tulpa/thoughtform sentience may be more dependent on the active imagination of the host than most are willing to admit to themselves and others. https://community.tulpa.info/thread-sentience-are-sentient-thoughtforms-less-independent-than-we-think?pid=154836#pid154836

As nice as this conversation may be, let's try to keep this to introductions and welcoming new/returning users. If you feel the need to continue this elsewhere, that would be fine - just make sure that it's in an appropriate space.

Hi there.

I have been lurking this site for a few days now out of curiosity. I read up about plurality prior to this and it interested me. I would like to be a part of this community.

If you're curious for details, feel free to pm me.

Welcome to the community, Sriracha. Feel free to ask questions in the appropriate areas if you have any.

Hello

I mainly intend to use this forum for information purposes, as well as to document my progress and receive help and suggestions along the way.

As of now, I do not have a Tulpa. The idea of a Tulpa is very appealing to me and I believe a Tulpa will be beneficial to my health.

Admittedly, I have severe doubts about this process and my ability to succeed. To avoid discouraging new users, I will not express those here.

Nevertheless I am willing to go to any length to create this entity, perhaps even at the expense of my own well-being, should it come down to it. Time is no object, and whatever progress is made, however small, will be sufficient for me. So long as there is a clear indication of said progress.

Perhaps one did not want to be loved so much as to be understood.

Good morning, afternoon, or evening, everyone. My name is Skimmer and Cane, though you may just call me Skimmer for short. I'm quite new to the world of Tulpamancy, and my doubts are high. Despite this, I have the urge to participate, and wish to form my own tulpa, myself. I've only just today looked through this, and, yes, it may seem foolish to decide upon such a task within a few hours of even HEARING of what a tulpa is, I get this odd feeling that a tulpa is just why I need to get my creativity back.

I look forward to discussing about, hearing feedback on, and - hopefully - gaining more knowledge and insight as my journey into being a host progresses.

First, welcome to the community and good luck on your tulpa!

Second: What do you mean "even at the expense of my own well being?" That sounds ominous. If creating a tulpa is going to be detrimental to you, or starts to become hurtful to you in any way, stop. Most people only benefit from having a tulpa in their life though.

Welcome to the community Skimmer and good luck on making a tulpa! You will find it is rewarding and interesting no matter what success level you have. It seems everyone is different and there are many variations in the time it takes and in the relationships between tulpa and host.

Hello, I'm Grock. I've been into tulpa forcing for about six to eight months, and am ready to create my own. I've read or am reading most of the guides, so I'm finally ready. I'm into anime and Undertale, and my future tulpa shares the name of Chara from the game, but all resemblance ends there. It's a huge step for me, but I'm ready to accept it and enjoy this experience. I hope we and our tulpas can all get along!

Welcome Grock and good luck on your tulpa! You certainly have take time to do the research ahead of time and that is actually refreshing and good to see! You are probably more familiar with the details of the process than I am after all that reading!
