SparrowNR January 12, 2016 January 12, 2016 Long-time lurker here. I don't have tulpae so much as I have muses/soulbonds/living characters/accidental tulpas/whatever you want to call them. I am a writer whose characters have a tendency to set up long-term real estate in our headspace. They have been doing so for 15+ years, so this means there are a lot of them (by last count, 20+) However, while their genesis differs from tulpae, they function much like tulpae after creation. So, since the more places they can interact and express themselves, the better, we figured we'd start participating. :) I am Sparrow, the author. The system members you are most likely to see are Temar, Felicity, Joss, and Ayo. Sparrow---Temar---Joss---Ayo--et al
FadingSpectrum January 12, 2016 January 12, 2016 Fade: Hi Sparrow&! <3 A queer soulbonding system with tulpamantic influences.
SparrowNR January 12, 2016 January 12, 2016 Hi Melian and Fade&. :) (Temar: Let's be honest: half the reason we signed up here is because soulbonding.org has been so slow lately. ;) ) Sparrow---Temar---Joss---Ayo--et al
JoyStar January 17, 2016 January 17, 2016 Hi everyone, JoyStar here! Admittedly, I hadn't heard of tulpas until very recently, when a reader of an Inside Out fanfic I wrote asked if I had heard of tulpas since the situation in the story is similar. So after browsing this forum a while, I decided to join so I could learn a bit more about what a tulpa is like and can do. Also, closest thing I ever had to a tulpa was an imaginary Charizard I had when I was 5 or so. Everything we perceive is reality is all interpreted by our heads. So technically, even though only their tulpamancer can see them, tulpas can be said to be as real as anything else.
Drakaina January 17, 2016 January 17, 2016 Hi Joy, I'm new here too. Everyone's been great so far. I'm pretty confident you'll enjoy your time here. It hadn't even dawned on me but I guess in a way the emotions of Inside Out kind of are tulpa. Either that or headmates in a plural system. O.o "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." -Arthur Conan Doyle
JoyStar January 17, 2016 January 17, 2016 Fun fact, in one of the original ideas for the film, the emotions would be able to hang around her on the outside and Joy would sit on her shoulder when she wasn't working, with the others coming out after she got lost. And there was another plot idea where Riley would go inside Headquarters and meet them. So basically it almost would have been a tulpa movie. XD Everything we perceive is reality is all interpreted by our heads. So technically, even though only their tulpamancer can see them, tulpas can be said to be as real as anything else.
Asher January 20, 2016 January 20, 2016 Hello, I'm Asher. I'm twenty six and I'm contemplating making a tulpa. The desire for a friend I can tell anything to is the main driving force. I have quite a few friends and am very close with my family. But there are different parts of me for different people. I'm definitely thinking it'd be nice to have someone I can share ALL of my thoughts with. Someone just for me. Hmmm. That really sounds selfish, I suppose. I look forward to getting to do more research into the subject. It's not something I'm venturing lightly into. I've set a soft date for March 1st to change my mind about making my tulpa, though I'm strongly leaning towards yes already. Anyways, nice to meet you all. Feel free to message me, I'm very friendly.
