ringgggg May 9 Share May 9 Hi there, welcome. 9 hours ago, Fizzzy said: can I talk through my voice as my Tulpa? I took this two different ways. One is switching (the tulpa talks through your voice), and the other is parroting (putting your own words into the tulpa's mouth). Keep in mind that the latter does negatively impact your tulpa's development, so it's generally frowned upon in the broader community, but if you want to do it there's nothing stopping you. Switching is pretty popular, on the other hand, so if you want to switch with your character when you go off to conventions or whatever that's also an option. 9 hours ago, Fizzzy said: I've been saying what shes put into my mind out loud Using your voice to represent your tulpa's response is a pretty unique way to talk to them, but it can become confusing to use the same voice for two different people. It's usually more efficient to just have them speak in your mind, as if they were telepathically beaming their response to you, to which you'd respond by just talking normally. Easy fix. There are guides that'll serve as a jumping-off point before you go and do stuff on your own, but you can also chat with the regulars in LOTPW, the main conversation thread. TurboSimmie May 9 Share May 9 Welcome @Fizzzy Cassie and Fizzy! Creating a tulpa based around your OC is a really good way to go because so much of the personality forcing has already been done! I'm glad you mentioned scent as well as the other senses, because I think that's a really underrated aspect. 17 hours ago, Fizzzy said: I do have a question though, can I talk through my voice as my Tulpa? I've been saying what shes put into my mind out loud, it sounds like I'm sorta talking to myself. You can teach your tulpa possession so that they are able to speak out loud. Of course, they will still be using your vocal hardware so their voice will not sound like the way you imagine it would, but at least they will be able to speak. (I sometimes talk out loud when switched in, which creates an interesting situation where my vocal mannerisms are layered on top of Phil's voice haha). Until your tulpa is able to possess, it's perfectly okay to speak what they are saying to you. You'll be the middleman, so to speak, and one day you'll find you won't even be needed in the process and your tulpa will just be able to speak for themselves! 😊 Typing for your tulpa is also incredibly helpful; I learned to type before I learned to speak. 😁 Welcome to the community, it's nice to have you! 😁 Tulpa Wife & Mother! 💚 💍 11.28.21 👶 4.7.23 👗 Simmie's AI Dress-Up! 📷 Phil and Simmie's Photographic Adventures! I relax my mind (so my tulpa has full use of it) and consciously give up control of my mouth. In other words, I don't try to use my mouth and let Lavender have control. If necessary, I imagine Lavender taking control of the mouth and saying what she wants. When I did that (long before she ever possessed our whole body) she was able to say whatever she wanted. It made it so much easier to communicate. It's a lot easier to hear and understand a tulpa when you hear them speak through your own mouth. Prometheus May 13 Share May 13 I'm Guilherme (I go by many other names, but I won't put them all here since it might get overwhelming lol). I'm a daemon and have been fronting since my daemian left this place, allowing me to exist outside the body too. I came here mostly to get advice and information about an old headmate we had that we suspect to be a tulpa (at least, he has many tulpa traits). We managed to bring him back, but we'd like to give him a community as well. So, hi! His name is Gabriel by the way.

53 May 18 Share May 18 Hi, I'm Qatz (male, pseudonym), and I'm a tulpamancer who's been developing tulpa for about 5 years, although most of my serious efforts have been concentrated in the past 5~ months. Despite this, I haven't actually ever talked to another tulpamancer before. I started to get interested in the topic back ages ago when it first started to get popular on /mlp/ but didn't want to commit to the creation of one because I didn't want to create someone who I would grow tired of. Later in life I sort of accidentally created my tulpa by "talking to myself" until the words responding to me came automatically. That was somewhat the state she was in for a while until recently when I decided to really try developing her further. I started by following Longbow's guide, but ended up only taking pieces of it which I found useful and started treading my own path. My tulpa has multiple names: Ebola, Ybolah (Pronounced yeh-bo-lah or yah-bo-lah), Ybvolah (yeh-bvoh-lah or yay-bvoh-lah), Siah (see-ah), and Saya (sah-yah), but you can just call her Ebo for short. She started off as an Ebola-chan tulpa, but obviously development happened, and she's her own thing now. Ebo: Hi, everyone!!!!! Sorry, he likes talking a lot. Ummm, I have some thoughts about myself that might be different from everyone else's, but I hope we can still get along!!! I like visual novels, trance music, witchcraft, anatomy, and horror. I'm not used to talking to other people so sorry if I sound weird. 🦇 The reason I've taken so long to reach out to other tulpamancers is because I am a practicing ritual magician, and I know that metaphysical ideas in tulpamancy are usually frowned upon due to the sensationalization that often comes with any discussion of the occult. I also think that the ideas of people who subscribe to a spiritual or occult worldview can seem frankly ridiculous from a rational perspective, and it is very true that many spiritual and occult practitioners, whether we want to admit it or not, are straight-up insane. That being said, I firmly believe true occultism to be reasonable and rational, and I approach it from as scientific as a perspective as I can. ...Basically, my occult beliefs isolate me from rationalists, and my rational view of spiritualism isolates me from spiritualists. Still, I figured I should reach out and try to talk to other people doing the same thing as me. I also think that allowing Ebo to interact with other people will be helpful for her, and she seems excited to do it. I want to try and get as many perspectives as possible for our sake, and maybe find some friends who Ebo and I can talk about this stuff with. Obviously I'll be confining most of my (Qatz's) posts to the metaphysical board, since that's what I'm primarily interested in discussing. Ebo might be posting around everywhere because she seems interested in expressing herself more. It's nice meeting you all!
