Anyway, my two cents. Any relationship can be great or awful, depending on the people in it. If you use a relationship as a tool to get better, together, and be happy, it's fine, no matter how physical or close your partner is, but people are generally bad at doing it right. Abusive relationships happen all the time, with both parties often not noticing until very late in the process. Same for friendships. It's very important to pick the right people, and the right time for yourself. I'd suggest anyone to have a measure of self-awareness before getting into any kind of relationship, and to be on a path to self-improvement as well. Otherwise, it seems like you're just gambling, with the odds stacked in favor of getting hurt.
