The Mortality of a Tulpa (also, how dangerous are dreams?).

Recommended Posts

You forgot to mention how bringing it back caused it to TURN INTO TWO TULPAS. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED.

If you want to learn more, ask irc for deets.

I obviously am on IRC, just I don't want to mention my nickname here.

His tulpa didn't turn into two tulpas, he just worked on 2 of them at once without realizing that he was doing so, like when he was working on a temporary form.

I didn't want to mention it here because it's a potential memetic hazard, but it's too late now.

My guess would be they can feel pain but can't die. So they are pretty much immortal. Also I am thinking if they are injured fataly in a dream they probably would just wake up, just like how humans wake up of we are fataly injured in a dream. This is only a theory though, and my reason behind it is that there is nothing really that is keeping the tulpa alive (ie. A heart) therefore it cannot die.

The subject does interest me though. I would love to see someone try this and have an exact answer. My tulpa is not sentient yet, so unfortunately I cannot try this myself.

...yet

Stabbing QB is like stabbing some sort of advanced sentient silly putty stress ball.

Knife to the heart, take it out and there's an imprint (a "hole", but with matter harmlessly displaced instead of ripped or destroyed) running the entire length of the blade pressed into his chest. Then the imprint bounces back into shape and disappears, and there's no evidence it ever happened.

Which isn't a huge surprise - I forced his body to be "like a stress ball all the way through", I had that down in the beginning. It's the fact that he took the whole knife painlessly without a single scratch that was rather interesting.

He afterward proceeded to laugh, then wriggle around and ask for a tummy rub.

The above post does not contain facts.

q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.

Goddamn, QB is adorable.

Me: Hey, say something for this thread!

Koharu: Yay, cupcakes!

mfw there are no cupcakes. Sentience? Yes. Brilliance? Ehh...

And we still can't be sure what really happened at this point, not to mention what happens when two Tulpae fight against each other.

Well, one dies and the other is left alive. And then the dead one comes back to get a revenge kill on the other tulpa. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

My progress report

Click the link in my signature, my "method" of forcing greatly involved smashing Shinigami with my hammer "The Meat Mallet" and if I hit his head, it smashed like an apple, if he fell in a volcano without something specifically to protect him, he died, etc.

My opinions are all subject to change.

Insert: whenever I chopped off Pinkie's head to see what would happen about a month ago, she just put it right back on in a poof and furiously approached me, hugging and laughing "I'm not dead! I'm right here, silly!"

Far as I can tell so far, tulpae are immortal. Kill them, absorb them, starve them, erase them from existence, and you can bring them back good as new with a little work (and sometimes they re-emerge on their own.)
