I've been thinking about creating a tulpa alot in the past few days.

The only thing that is holding me back is the fact that tulpaism is so young.

We don't know what a tulpa can do to someones mind in ten or so years.

This really is the only thing that is bothering me.

The art of tulpae is not young.

It's been practiced for thousands of years, by the Tibetan monks.

That being said, it is fairly young in this country, and so we don't know firsthand what the effects of having one for ten years is.

I would assume that if anything bad ever came from them, the word of the dangers would have been spread along with the fact that it could even be done.

We can only assume that there is no reason for the effects a tulpa has on a person to drastically change after any given amount of time, unless it was given reason. If you're a dick to your tulpa, they will be an dick to you.

Anyway, anyone here would be lying if they told you that there was absolutely no risk; because we cannot be 100% certain.

But what we CAN say, is that there is no real evidence yet, to show anything that bad coming from it.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Ask glitch. He's had a tulpa for quite some time. Like, at least 5 years, and shit has gone down.

Dissociation from your emotions: That wasn't me it was my tulpa, that wasn't me it was my tulpa, that wasn't me it was my tulpa, that wasn't me it was my tulpa, that wasn't me it was my tulpa, that wasn't me it was my tulpa, that wasn't me it was my tulpa, that wasn't me it was my tulpa, that wasn't me it was my tulpa, that wasn't me it was my tulpa, that wasn't me it was my tulpa.

Hallucinations unrelated to your tulpa.

Withdrawal

I don't know if it's related, but my left eyebrow is half white now, and if I grow out a mustache half of it is white too. It happened somewhere during personality. It might have been because of the stress created by forcing too much. Just a guess, though.

We don't know much about the dangers of tulpae yet, but as long as you don't enslave them or do similarly bad things to them, then they shouldn't do anything bad to you either. There are tons of multiples that live in harmony, so why can't we.

And when it comes to accidental dangers of tulpae (in the sense that the tulpa didn't want to hurt you), then I don't know much about any yet.

I don't think dissociation from your emotions is a problem. We have few people that lived with a tulpa for few years (e.g. Tristan) and I have yet to hear them experiencing something like this.

If you fear hallucinations unrelated to your tulpa being a problem, then learn to hallucinate and un-hallucinate simple objects like apple and it should be fine.

Withdrawal from what, society? Many tulpae actually encourage their hosts to be more social, but that could be just because most of us are introverts with extraverted tulpae.

Dissociation from emotions isn't usually something that's permanent with tulpa. It's during the time when you wait for emotional responses to when your tulpa is vocal and begins to stop sending them. People feel an emotion and just assume it was a response. If they keep doing this it could lead to the dissociation until the tulpa stops sending the responses.

Unhallucinate? You should write a how-to on that, you might win the Nobel Prize for Psychology.

Tulpa, just like people, are different. Not all of them will encourage the creator to be more social. And some creators might figure that if they have a companion like a tulpa, why even go outside besides for the necessities?

As for the white hair, I looked into a mirror. I actually have 1/4 white in my eyebrow, not 1/2. Whoops.

well if one side of your hair becomes white and the other half remains black (assuming that's your hair color) i'll think you'll look pretty bad ass.

Brown hair.

Withdrawal from society is pretty awesome, even if it happens i wouldn't count it as a risk or anything.

Anyway, i'll add that tulpacreation usually involves a lot of alternate doubting/believing in random stuff (expecially if you want to speed up the process), which could destroy your belief system 4lyfe therefore leaving you unable to believe in anything. Conversely, it could enlighten you to the point where you don't even have to believe in something to reach any type of conclusion. Who knows. These are only the extremes anyway, and you probably have to be mentally unstable or something in the first place.

Also this is only some random theory my mind just came up with so yeah. Though it's true i was pretty close to self-inflicted complete mindrape at some point, but hey, you don't really have to do that. It's not particularly healthy i think.

You mean 10 years, and the reason shit went down was because he was a retard and didnt fulfill his promises to his tulpa.
