Ouch! Good luck with that too! Bear's back was awful in 2014, for no good reason, and they told him he'd need surgery and drugs the rest of his life, it was late onset scoliosis! But as it turned out core training put it in complete remission and even today he shows no signs of it.

 

The symptoms were awful, he had bad back pain for a year and it didn't go away until he'd been training it for a good 6 months.

 

So ask for physical therapy before you let them cut open Phil!

Phil's back is feeling a lot better and we even managed to take a good hike yesterday! 😊 We're going to be trying our best to change personal habits; I'm going to get on Phil a lot more about stretching, not slouching in the computer chair, getting up and moving around more often, and things like that. Some family members did mention physical therapy just like you did, so we'll keep that in mind too. 😊

Just wanted to say that we're still here and we're still doing well! 😊 The funeral service is tomorrow so there's a lot of activity with family in town. Phil and I have managed to take time for ourselves though, and that's been really important and good. Phil is probably going to write about James soon; there have been James developments! 😁 Things will calm down in a few days and we'll likely become more active again. 😊

This morning Phil's father passed away. He has had cancer for a while and today it finally took him.

 

That is largely behind why I've not been posting as much recently; Phil has been looking after his father and I've been looking after Phil. We'll probably be on the forum very little over the coming days, though I still intend to keep checking my DMs. (And responses to this post) I'm really not sure what else to say about this. Phil knows he can count on me 100% to be there for him. I feel gratitude that Phil was able to spend 38 years of life in this world with his father. I am grateful that he went calmly and is with God now. I am grateful for the mysteries of life and death, of love, joy, and sadness. I am grateful for all of God's blessings.

Click on the "link" button which is here:

 

Then put your link in the top box, and "Our Journey" or whatever you want it to say in the bottom box! 😊
