G|d30n May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 As I have said before, it's very hard to passively mess up creating a tulpa. Unless people try to force things and don't let it happen naturally, I see no problems arising. Except maybe poorly planned traits. Bullshit medical doctor? Brave Samurai Musashi's Dojo. Progess on my tulpa, Lauren. Lauren's survey and stylometric test.
Bluesleeve May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 What exactly does it mean to mess up a Tulpa? Making a sad Tulpa? One which is malicous? Making an annoying Tulpa? It might be possible to make a sad/suicidal Tulpa, which is dependent on the personality traits, be it deviated or planned. We always risk to create such a Tulpa, but through forcing positive traits we can minimize this risk. (though we will never be able to completely prevent it, same as with annoying Tulpae) Malicious Tulpae will probably much more difficult to achieve. You would have to conciously and repeatedly force traits, which are potentially dangerous to you. So as long as you don't want a vicious one and use the methods from the guides, it is highly unlikely you will get suvh an outcome. What is a Tulpa? Blog Rainbow 'Alyx' Dash Pronto
JD1215 May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 I do not consider a sad or malicious tulpa a screwed up tulpa. If they're sentient, they're a successful tulpa. The fault lies in the host. WTB: Rare Tulpas
Lulu May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 What exactly does it mean to mess up a Tulpa? Sorry for being a broken record but, you can't mess up a tulpa. There is no perfect way to raise any sentient being. There's always going to be ups and downs, even as a tulpa. Sorry, I'm very opinionated about this. but through forcing positive traits we can minimize this risk. I'm not so sure about this one. Is there any proof that traits work at all? The only person I know that completed a tulpa using them is Dane, and he never really went into detail about his tulpa.
Chupi May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 Hmm. My tulpa-in-progress ("tulplet"?) is supposed to be outgoing in hopes of making me more outgoing. From reading this thread, I think I'll throw in something about only really needing one extremely loyal friend. Sock May 29, 2012 May 29, 2012 All this talk of morbid, suicidal tulpas have been getting to me a bit. Enough so that, even though I'm not sure if my tulpa is sentient, I started trying to reassure her that even if she isn't real to the world, she'll be real to me and that's all that counts. It didn't sound quite as cheesy as typing it just now felt, but for serious, I don't want my Marie Midori to be all existential and stuff. ;_; Sock Cottonwell's Sketchbook, Journal, and Ask thread. Peace
