I think both are important and it really depends on the individual person on which is the most effective.

Early on, the only time I could ever hear Jaden speaking was during active forcing, despite passive forcing all day. Why? Because when I was active forcing, I was working on clearing my mind of distracting thoughts and 'background noise', thus allowing me to hear him more clearly and hone in on where that voice came from. When that became easier to do, passive became the next important step, to allow him to speak when I wasn't active forcing, so that I could hear him through the background noise of my thoughts.

I will say though, that no matter how much your tulpa can survive on passive alone, active forcing can seriously be an amazing boost for you and your tulpa. We were 'passive all day e'rry day' forcers for the longest time, but when we began active forcing again--even on a less regular basis such as once a week or so, Jaden became that much clearer, that much stronger, and that much closer to imposition. Now we have times when I see him perfectly clearly, imposed as anything else--until of course I realize this and get excited and it fades away. Drat! But we are still working on it.

Active and passive forcing do different things and both are useful tools. I think you could survive on only one or the other, but it's useful to know how each one can benefit your progress. Why limit yourself to just one type of forcing?

Yeah I totally agree with you. I dont have that much time for active forcing at the moment because of school, but I think this is my biggest problem. Im stuck in stage when Jack can talk, but only when Im talking to him, and we are stuck like this for 1month now. I can passive force pretty easily, we are talking, developing our wonderland, but still there is no vocal change, or any change. I guess I have to get some free time to active force and fix every bug we have.

Tulpa Name: Jack.

Form : Fox Furry ( my avatar ).

Age : 16

Birthday : November 6th.

Im sorry for my Engish, It's not perfect, but at least I try.

What's the difference between active and passive forcing? If I narrate, is that active forcing

Hmm, my definition may not be what everyone thinks but this is kind of how I categorize it.

Passive forcing is the communication/narration/interaction you do with your tulpa day to day.

Active forcing is when i enter a meditative/trance-like forcing state where i focus on her exclusively. In this state i also narrate but it feels as though it gives her a lot more attention. I also take this time to re-actualize myself with her form in all the 5 senses (except maybe taste >.>).

Tulpa: Ren

Stage: Imposition

Form: Unicorn

Her speech/comments dictated by square brackets. [Hi, everyone!]

I agree with this.

I might word it differently, but this is pretty much what I believe, as well.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

I have found that passive forcing works well for me, and when I have tried active forcing i have gotten a response from Jackie most of the time. So I use both and I know that I have been getting results

Now with 20% more mudkips!

  • 2 weeks later...

I prefer passive forcing, as thats what i used to make aura

I just find it works better for me and is more convenient as apposed to completely forcing

i am forever banned from drinking orange juice because my tulpa hates it with a burning passion
