Argus Plexus April 2, 2013 April 2, 2013 So for the past while that I've been working on Hideki, I have been passively forcing (Hope I'm using the term right!) literally all day every day. I believe that this passive forcing does almost as much for him as normal forcing does. When I do this, I only have to use about 30 percent of my mental power, leaving the rest for whatever tasks I'm doing. As a result of this, he has developed at an astounding rate. He's sentient already, has changed the entire world in my mindscape, and can communicate with me efficiently (Though only once in an actual voice) Does the tulpa community believe this passive forcing could help to accelerate tulpa creation at such a fast pace? It seems to have worked for me. Hideki Assumed Age: 14 True Birthdate: 24-3-13 Looks: Brown hair, green eyes, athletic build Personality: Reserved, calculating, protective, intelligent, health nut Hobbies: Watching anime, playing Xbox, learning new jutsus, listening to music My Favorite Hideki Quote: "Kudaran..."
Kiahdaj April 2, 2013 April 2, 2013 Sure. Passive forcing = more forcing, so of course it is beneficial. A certain amount of "regular" forcing would be more progressive than the same amount of passive forcing, but it's not as though people have that much time in their day. So basically, if you can do it, passive forcing is always a good thing to do. "If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."
Aarix April 2, 2013 April 2, 2013 I can guarentee you this. Its a hell of a lot better than nothing and you can fall back on it when youre unable to active force. My tulpas with me every waking minute thanks to lots of practice. Makes active forcing only icing on the cake. Progress report "You'll have a Tulpa because you didn't give up" -Koomer
Lacquer April 2, 2013 April 2, 2013 literally all day every dayliterally Wow, I didn't know someone could stay awake for that long, especially focusing on something like a tulpa. Even then, did you stop all of the rest of your life's activities that require focus to do this? I know one term you're not using right...
Tulpony April 2, 2013 April 2, 2013 I've active forced once, maybe twice, unless you count reading to her. Everything else has been on-the-fly narration, visualization, and imposition, and by day 18 she's fully autonomous, starting to be vocal, and doing whatever the heck she wants with my mindscape. There's a thread somewhere mentioning the possibility of developing tulpae with only passive forcing. Besides, active forcing seems to be used mainly for personality and visualization, so if you're done with/not doing those, then passive is pretty much the way to go.
ZerothEnder April 2, 2013 April 2, 2013 I'm constantly passive forcing, and after about 2 1/2 months, Syldra can get my attention by talking to me whenever she wants. We also have full, deep conversations and she has her own opinion about things. Pretty amazing stuff. And don't get me started about Aaron...He just sort of appeared, fully sentient and able to talk in about 30 minutes o_0 My Tulpae: Syldra River (Jan. 9, 2013) Picture Erin (March 30, 2013) Picture
Kimnd April 2, 2013 April 2, 2013 I have been fitfully active forcing, with those sessions littered with points at which I got distracted. The only real interaction that keeps Kev and Todd going, I think, is that I talk with Kev every day when I'm on the bus or alone in my room. Other than that, the only thing keeping them both going is the fact that I believe they do stuff without me. That they have busy lives. I am floored at the frequency with which you all force. Seriously!? You guys can focus 30% of your brain on your tulpa and the rest of it on whatever task you're doing? That's freaking amazing.

Bacn April 2, 2013 April 2, 2013 Wouldn't it make sense for passive forcing to be more important than active? It seems to me like the part of the brain that runs your tulpa needs as much time as possible in use to further strengthen the tulpa's presence in your mind. However I'm no expert and I'm just guessing based off how the mind handles other tasks.

More done with active by far in the time spent than passive. Its preference what mix, if any, of active or passive you want to do.
