Antylamon April 10, 2013 April 10, 2013 You don't actually need to wait until your next lucid dream, you can try to induce one. Try put some DILD or WILD. PM me if you want some help, I'm pretty knowledgeable in the subject. I know how to, or at least know that I can, induce lucid dreams, but I am working on dream recall only right now, i.e. dream journal. Throughout this I have been getting spontaneous lucid dreams even without attempting to induce them, so that is what I meant. I'm working towards remembering 3 dreams a night and remembering at least one in great detail before I try DILD, which is my first-try technique of choice. Also, that's why I said stable lucid dream instead of simply lucid dream. "Sorry for the lack of clarity."

The spontaneous ones are always the best. Also, if you're struggling with recall, try to keep a consistent schedule, that helped me a lot.
Maddilyn April 14, 2013 April 14, 2013 I tried to reproduce the Ganzfeld effect although I only had orange ping pong balls rather than white ones, so that is probably the reason behind the no success. It didn't work at all for about half an hour. I found that with the ping pong balls taped over your eyes, you can still see underneath them in your peripheral vision. The only effect it had on me is it making me close my eyes without me noticing. Is the fact that the ping pong balls are dome shaped important? Because If not, some sort of translucent mask would be better at impairing my vision.

corvus April 19, 2013 April 19, 2013 Why do the ping-pong balls matter? btw used a t-shirt as a blindfold. Not too much hallucinations but then again practice makes perfect. Name: Luna (Used to be "Dashie") Birthday: Jan 29, 2013 Form: Rainbow Dash Stage: Imposition/Visualization/Voice

Weird0 April 21, 2013 April 21, 2013 Here's a quick video about the Rubberhand illusion i just saw. They say great science is built on the shoulders of giants - not here. At Tulpa.info we do all our science from scratch; no hand holding.

I think they work well because no light can slip from the sides while some light can still slip trough a blindfold. Anyway, do blindfolds really help with imposition of all things? I would guess so.
Couguhl April 22, 2013 April 22, 2013 I've attempted the Ganzfeld before. Using ping-pong balls is the most effective because they allow movement for the eyes and an equal distance at each point. You just have to cut the edges of them so they fit over your eyes without allowing you to see out of a corner. For me, I find it useful to shine a soft red light over the eyes while the effect is attempted, as well as using white noise for even less stimulation. In my experiences, I saw a bunch of dark, swirling shapes and had the feeling of being in a different environment, but I only tried it for about thirty minutes. ThatOneStupidIdiot April 24, 2013 April 24, 2013 I've been meaning to try this but there aren't any ping pong balls in this house as far as I know so I need to actually get one first. I'm worried about one thing, though. Are you able to actually control the hallucinations with this, or do you just end up with whatever your brain decides to give you? Because if it's the latter, then that could obviously spawn some problems if you're trying to see your tulpa. I mean, maybe you could ask the tulpa to appear as the hallucination, but I have no idea if that kind of thing works. For me, I find it useful to shine a soft red light over the eyes while the effect is attempted, as well as using white noise for even less stimulation. I've seen the red light thing mentioned before, but it isn't in the instructions from the first page. What is it meant to do? Also, would a computer monitor viewing a plain red image in fullscreen work as a substitute, or would I need to buy a red light bulb and a desk lamp?
