Is there anything a tulpa can't change?

Is there any attribute a tulpa can be given at creation that they cannot change later on their own?

Thats an interesting question. I don't believe so. Well they could change their personality but I would think its just a facade. Forms can easily change. You probably can't change sentience. These are my guesses.

A Tulpa isnt as "set" as a human is in personality and people themselves are capable of changing their personalities (yeah it dont happen commonly in people but it does happen).

If you think you cant change your Tulpas personality..you probably then wont. What you yourself believes majorly impacts what you can do with your Tulpa.

No, I doubt there's anything that either you or the tulpa couldn't change.

Although if I had to pick something, I'd say personality. Mainly because everything else I can think of is definitely doable.

I'm sure you can, without a doubt, make slight tweaks to your tulpa's personality. But a complete overhaul of their personality in a day seems a little far fetched, to me.

That said, I'm sure you can gradually change it, so that eventually they are nothing like they were.

However, I think it's a little fucked up. The tulpa is their personality. They are not their form, their voice, their smell, or anything else. Their personality is what defines who they are, just like you. To force a change like that, while possible, isn't really "right".

But too many people these days view tulpas as things that exist for their own pleasure, and satisfaction. Not as other living beings like themselves. But I digress.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Way to state that as though it's fact.

"If this can be avoided, it should. If it can't, then it would be better if it could be. If it happened and you're thinking back to it, try and think back further. Try not to avoid it with your mind. If any of this is possible, it may be helpful. If not, it won't be."

Viceroy is technically correct that they are not living breathing organisms. Whether or not they should be treated the same is perhaps a discussion for a different thread.

By that logic, you are not a living being, either. Just your body is.

And technically, if tulpas are indeed another consciousness like your own, then your body is also their's.

I'm purely speculating here, but past a certain point basic attributes of identity may become very difficult to change. Your tulpa's gender, for example, probably won't change; if it does, it will be done early on, or your tulpa specified as able to change at will. Same thing to a lesser extent with form, perhaps, where a tulpa spends a very long time looking like one thing and will find it difficult (still not impossible) to change permanently.

Actually changing personality would be very difficult to do consciously, though still not as hard as, say, the host doing it. That doesn't mean that it doesn't change, but the changes are mostly unconscious.

I think anything can be changed in a tulpa, if:

1. The host has the concentration to do it

and 2. If the tulpa wants to change
