I recently found a website that advertised some multi-step program (The first few parts are free) that allows the user to mentally travel to "Alternate Universes" and - This is where it gets interesting - learn the skills that the "You" in this Universe has.

It seemed legit, so naturally, being the curious yet rational scientist that I am...

I sent it to an IRL friend. One that I know is gullible, but he's fun, funny, and he's still a nice guy. We'll call him AA, because the names C, L, and N are already taken. Plus, there is an A in his last name, so it fits.

What, did you honestly think I'd try an untested thing on myself? Testing is very important! Do I look like Dr Mundo to you?! Hence, why I'm letting him try it first, to see if it works.

So, I had Ace(My tulpa, AKA Alice) use her email to send the site's link to AA. To make it seem more legic, Ace decides to tell him she's done it herself, it works, and she regularly visits an Alternate Universe where she's the Empress of America(Which also has England, Sweden, Spain, Newly-Anexed Mexico, Newly-annexxed Canada, Japan, China, most of Italy, most of Germany, and Antarctica.). AA reads it, and uses it to "Travel across the Multiverse".

A few days later, AA sends me an email. Apparently, so far, he's been to a Victorian world, a Vampire world, a Werewolf world, and a Sorceror world. In the Victorian and Vampire worlds, he spent the whole time looking at how great he looked in those worlds... In the Werewolf world, he decided he really hates werewolves... And in the Sorceror world, he became the Chosen One and was given an extremely powerful magic crystal that "Only the worthy may wield". He then goes on to describe how beautiful and amazing the worlds were(Except for the Werewolf world, he hated that world.)

Hmm... Not exactly the instant-expert-inator I was hoping for. Ace has sent him some more emails, telling AA about the tricks, techniques and skills she's learned(Leadership, Tactics, Strategy, and Planning - All of these are things we already had, so we can demonstrate them if need be) from her journeys through the Multiverse, and asking what he's learned.

Right now, the goal is to see if this site actually works, and if it really can give you abilities you didn't have before. If it works, I'll see how well it's worked. Perhaps, if it's as good as it claims to be, then I might try it.

However: I have a Tulpa, my test subject does not. I'm not sure how a Tulpa would be affected by this, so I'll post a link to the site here tomorrow morning. (My 3DS cannot Copy-Paste links.) If anyone tries it, please post your experiences and discoveries here.

If it is real, it's probably a purely psychological phenomenon you fool yourself into believing. (Huh. Just like Delusion Theory...)

There isn't a way to travel between universes. That's it. Wanna know why?

If it were possible to move between universes, we'd see an infinite number of individuals falling through little holes from the infinite expanse there is out there. Even if it was easily observable that a universe was overflowing with multiversal travelers, infinite probability suggests that an infinite number of individuals would say "screw it," and jump into this one anyway. The sheer number of clones and squid/dick monsters falling from the sky and clogging up the ground would be so immense, it would be impossible to deny it.

And that is why going from universe to universe is impossible.

There are thus two possibilities here: Your friend is joshing you, or that it is a psychological delusion you bring upon yourself.

"DUDE! That's wrong! You don't do that! That's like giving a kid a knife and telling him that it's a neck massager!"

Shameless self promotion!

This might be a little bit true if only because visualizing and going through activities mentally are something most people dedicated to learning a skill do.

This website just seems to be selling you a romanticized visualization technique. It'll only work as much as you try to make it work and in the end, it still pales in comparison to actually doing said things and gaining said skills.

There really isn't a shortcut, you just kind of have to do things that you want to learn and gain those skills. You just can't become a virtuoso pianist overnight, over a month, over a year. That shit takes 10 years, 3 hours a practice everyday.

And do you know what every musician does before he/she takes the stage? They go through their performance in their head. This is what they're probably going to teach you to do. They're going to teach you to visualize with a few extra bells and whistles.

There is a way to travel between universes. This ability is called your imagination. Sure, you're still always grounded to this one universe and your connection to other universes is only as strong as your ability to imagine, but that's what you got. However, as I say in just about every post, no one had to teach you how to imagine when you were just a child.

Perhaps this is why books and movies and video games are so popular, because we forget at any moment we can imagine anything we want.

Whether this is real or not, I'd like to experiment with this. That and Sonya seems excited about it.

He now claims he kept his Vampire Speed and Strength from the Vampire World.

One friendly IRL sparring match later, which I win, (I'm fat, I work out a lot, and I play a lot of videogames. But, I'm smart, and thanks to my Eidetic Memory, I've successfully Sharingan'd various fighting styles.), he decides his Vampire Speed and Strength isn't working because it's sunny out. Not wanting to discourage a Test Subject, I agree with him, and imply that ever since Ace started "Travelling through the Multiverse", she's gotten almost unbeatable at Yu-Gi-Oh. I then send him some tutorials on how to play, and I tell him to watch the TV show for more info.

Ace and I are both great Yu-Gi-Oh players, so her Duel tomorrow should be fun. She'll use her Beatdown deck, so she won't confuse him too badly with any of our usual Cunning Plans, Brilliant Schemes or Fancy Mathematics.

In the interest of fairness, I will keep my involvement to a minimum when Ace duels.

AA, now named Test Subject 01, will duel Ace. The Duel will be posted on Ace's Youtube channel. I will post a link here, so we all can see if this Alternate-Universe stuff can make him smart enough to defeat Ace.

"I recently found a website that advertised some multi-step program (The first few parts are free)"

I stopped reading here.

Confirmed for scamming

Buck yeah it's a scam! They expect me to ACTUALLY PAY for some hyped-up visualization exercise?! Thank Kami the first few are free, or I wouldn't even bucking touch this crap!

But, because the first few are free, I'll test them out on a rich(By this town's standards) IRL friend. I look forward to tomorrow, where one of my few IRL friends, whom I am now playing like a bucking grand piano at carnagey hall, will have a Yu-Gi-Oh duel against my imaginary multi-formed big-boobied genius psychologist therapist gamer ladyfriend. I idly wonder if my god complex and sociopathic tendencies will be enhanced or dulled by this event.

...Holy crap, what has this town turned me into?

...Screw it, the Tests must go on. I've gone too far, I can't turn back now!

...Buck it. I'll keep going, I'll finish the test, I'll do what I can to gather more data, and then I will officially stop using my friends as test subjects. Even though this is the first time, and the Slippery Slope Fallacy has always been a foolish and old-fashioned thought that never held any true value, anyway. And if something has no value, and cannot be used, then it is worthless, and useless.

...Buck!

Test, then done. Finish the test, then done. I'm doing this for science, dammit! For Science!

[Come on... Calm down. There's no logical reason to act like this. I'll duel your adorable idiot friend, because I want to. I like the game, and I'm looking forward to seeing if this'll work. Plus, it'd be funny if he failed. Alternatively, it'll be very interesting if he succeeds. *Grins* ^.^ Either way, we win! This has all the hallmarks of one of your master plans! *Stares flatly* -.- Now calm the buck down already!]

Yes, Ace... Actually, you're right. Thank you, my dear.

[Anytime. I swear, you are NOT going full Yagami on me. Not unless we actually had his Note, anyway. Then things would get very, very fun.]

Buck yeah it would! By the way... Guys?

Our Screen Recorder can't record sound, so we'll need to pick a song to play, during the Youtube vid.

[My duels usually don't last long, because I like to win them quickly, especially when I use my Beatdown deck. However, I don't know what kind of deck my opponent is using, so this duel might take a while... However, we will speed up the vid in Windows Movie Maker, to reduce the file size and shorten the vid's length, so... The song must be at least 3 minutes long, but shorter than 10 minutes.]

Preferably a Brony song, so Youtube's Copyright System won't think something's up. Plus, we like Brony music.

[Am I the first Tulpa ever to have a Yu-Gi-Oh Duel with someone who is not only someone other than their host, but someone who they know and like, without them knowing they're a Tulpa? Because I think I might be.]

So come on, pick a Brony song, between 3-10 minutes long!
