I don't really know whether i'm supposed to post in this thread...

However...

I'm Neotoma and my tulpa exists since 2014. By that time I didn't know this forum and I didn't know the term "tulpa" as well. I just called HIM my imaginary friend despite the fact that HE doesn't even want to be my friend...XD I plan on living together with HIM in my head for a very long time and while I was creating HIM I felt like it was kinda wrong to make HIM appreciate me right from the start.

 

I am the type of person that gets bored very easily, I don't have much discipline and I didn't want HIM to die because of me being lazy. So I decided that it would be best to make it pretty challenging to become HIS friend. Another Reason for doing so was that the fictional character HE is based on is way out of my league. XD

 

I came to this forum because HE wants to have a real body. We weren't able to master "Posession" just yet. I planned on finding people who care a lot about their tulpa and wanted to ask whether one of your tulpae wants to become completely independent as well.

 

If that's the case PLEASE tell me to help finding a way to give them a body!!!

I would many things in return.

 

My favorite Hobbys are programming, reading, lucid dreaming, playing chess (, being creepy and talking to myself. XD)

Welcome to the forum Neotoma.  

 

I don't think there is any way to give a tulpa their own independent physical body.  You can learn to impose a tulpa or a tulpa can learn to impose (so you can see, feel and hear it with your senses), but that is not a real physical body, it is a hallucination. Tulpas can learn to possess the host's body or switch with the host to control the body. But that is not a separate physical body either.

Almost no one here believes that you can create a physical body. If you want that, you will need to look for a more religious/spiritual forum.

I'm an atheist and I don't want to give HIM a seperate body by participating in some kind of ritual. I know that this won't work. Looks like I messed everything up once again. But I don't care anymore what you think of me. I know this souds dramatic but could someone tell me how to delete my account? I'm not writing this to get attention I just wanna get out of here. I know I'm overreacting but apparently all of you seem to be fine with trapping somebody in your mind and I'm not. I know many of you do this for fun and because you are very creative but looking at some Threads I think a few people are creating a very dependent tulpa because they are lonely. I don't wanna do this to HIM.

 

I doubt that my tulpa really is conscious. I rather think that I know what HE might say in some situations because I know small ascpects of HIS personality. Of course I can never be sure how HE would act because HE is based on a fictional character that I didn't create. Even though I had to give HIM the most of HIS traits because HE wasn't the protagonist and not much was known about HIM. This is the reason why I think, it is possible to give HIM a seperate body.

 

However... Please tell me how I can delete my account. Sorry I couldn't figure out how to do it and it's not mentioned in the "HELP" section.

Neotoma. You confuse me. Especially since you swung your opinion so completely in a day. Relax. Nothing you said offends us or anything.

 

You might want to hold onto your account until you are sure you won't change your mind again.

 

Dude, your tulpa is not that fictional character. He is based on that fictional character. If you have a tulpa, you know how they will behave, because they simply behave that way.

 

Anyway, if you don't really think your tulpa is conscious, then there is no big deal with trapping him in a box.

 

You realise, that being trapped in a head is not something I do by choice.

 

If you want to learn imposition, the creation of an illusory body, there are guides for that.

For future reference, you can have your account deleted by contacting one of the administrators directly or by making a thread in the Talk To Staff board. While I don't really understand your reasoning, and I don't think that you're going to find a lot of people on here who believe it's possible to 'release' their tulpa, you might be able to have a sensible conversation about it in the metaphysics board, so you might want to reconsider.

You think I'm talking about esotericism? (I don't wanna offend anyone who belives in it) BUT I DON'T!!!! I'm not talking about imposition as well but thanks for at least trying to understand me. I know that I made many things unclear. I'm sorry. This was the case because my opinion might be a litte different from your's and I didn't want to get into arguments with you. I think that's why you got the impression that I changed my mind but I will try to be completely honest from now on and see what happens.

 

First of all: Tulpa 001, I agree if I had a tulpa HE wouldn't be the fictional character but rather the outcome of me trying to understand who HE is. To be honest HE isn't actually a tulpa. If you know some real people and get along with them pretty well you might also know what they would say if they were in a specific stituation without having a tulpa of them in your head. What I did with HIM was just that. I prevented HIM from being conscious because that would have meant that HE will die if I die.

 

I'm talking about an artificial intelligence not esoterics.

Still a little confusing. I think this discussion should be moved over to questions and answers so that people can give more detailed responses.

 

If you do create a thread, you will need to give more detail as well. Body can mean many different things, especially if you have more than one person in your head. You may also need to be clear on what consciousness means to you.

 

There are other types of thoughtforms other than tulpa, so we could also use more detail as to his nature.
