Amon November 17, 2016 November 17, 2016 Hello. I am Amon, and it is a pleasure to be joining all of you. I plan to post frequently, so I thought it would be best to introduce myself. I have known about tulpae/tulpas for over a year now and I attempted to form one last November. I was only remotely successful in doing so, as my tulpa was never able to speak and was never sentient. Finding myself to often be "too busy" and disturbed by mental issues, I decided to stop before I caused my tulpa any harm. I concluded that I would postpone creation of a tulpa until I was better able to do so. Approximately 10 months and one suicide attempt later, I believe I will soon be ready to try again. I meditate, more frequently in the past few weeks than before, and I am enjoying the results. I suffer from depression and generalized anxiety, though I handle it much better now than before. It has been an obstacle both in everyday life and in regards to meditation/tulpa forcing. Based on my reading, it seems such issues are generally not problematic when it comes to developing a tulpa. A bit about me- I've always been more of a loner and an intellectual, and it seems most of you on here are as well. The paranormal and abnormal fascinate me and I strongly believe there is more to life than what we see on a daily basis. I am generally very self-aware and critical of myself, for better or worse. A little about myself, I currently live in Kentucky but have lived in several states up and down the US east coast. I suffer from generalized and social anxiety so I might seem a little shy and withdrawn and I apologize for that ahead of time. I have a long history in the occult and shamanism and will likely be bringing some of that approach with me, but I hope to learn all about this community and hopefully discover much to add to my personal philosophy. I find the psychological approach to what I have only heard of as a supernatural phenomenon fascinating. I'm unlikely to be very active after a few weeks but will return every once in a while to see what's new so please be patient with me. I'm looking forward to talking and working with you all. I've been lurking for a little while and only decided to make the commitment a few days ago. I really like comic books and I do a lot of creative writing in my spare time (NaNoWriMo, anyone?)
