I've been working on visualization +mostly reading/audio book at work and I get some visuals, but they're not too strong.

But when I lay down and get into a kind of forcing state, I can't seem to bring anything at all up. I've tried narrating a wonder land, but to zero success

By your reference to using reading and audio to get visuals, I assume you've already gone through the many guides around here that offer methods and tricks like this.

I'm afraid I don't have much more to offer, then. I've been daydreaming since I was a tot (definitely my best subject in school; I should have majored in it), so I can't say more toward improvement except that you have to do it a lot.

Music usually gets me going though. Put on a cool track and watch epic battles between gods, anime characters and ponies play out in my head. 420/10, would do while high.

So, y'know, keep your chin up and do your best!

Your thinking needs a readjust; total concentration is a must.
