NED July 5, 2012 Author July 5, 2012 I used parroting to kickstart things, and tapered that off relatively soon. I think parroting can be used to establish a good personality and practice voice and movement, which I believe a method for was mentioned earlier. That seems legit. I think that could definitely help, as you said to give the personality a bit of volume. Natasha September 17, 2012 September 17, 2012 Anyone who thinks parroting can be positive is a kook. It's completely antithetical to autonomous consciousness. Last post was made 07-05-2012, be sure to check it before you start necroing, especially if you have no new info or content to add ;) Also, a lot has changed since back then and some people now believe that small amounts of puppeting might kickstart the process. People are different, no need to call them a kook because they believe something different than you (Wtf is a kook? O_o) De bedste og smukkeste ting i verden kan hverken ses eller røres, de må opleves med hjertet.
Lolimancer September 17, 2012 September 17, 2012 My tulpa was born of no small amout of puppeting, so i guess i'm a kook (what was a kook again?).
Chupi September 17, 2012 September 17, 2012 IMO some parroting/puppeting can kickstart a tulpa. Actually Fede's method will likely work, resulting in your conscious puppeting becoming automatic and then handing off control to the tulpa when she grows enough. However I see three issues with Fede's pure-puppeting idea: This is basically what kids to when they make an imaginary friend. Some of these become tulpae, but some don't and those who do often take a long time to. Additionally, I'm not sure if it will work for just anyone, or of some degree of preexisting dissociation is required. The automatic puppeting might continue after the tulpa is doing stuff on her own, increasing the frequency of forcing fake actions onto her, and intrusive thoughts.Simply that Fede pushes this so hard and behaves in ways that make nearly everyone hate him, makes it highly unlikely that the method will ever be accepted by many people. And yeah, I know that Fede is going to counter that tulpae are just subconscious parroting, so I'm going to preemptively respond to that. I've seen sufficient evidence that they are capable of truly having their own experiences in the wonderland*. And given that switching seems to be possible, I'd class tulpae the same as multiples' headmates or DID alters, which are real personalities in the same sense as yourself. However, depending on how you look at it, your own consciousness could just be subconscious parroting as well -- that the subconscious experiences things and creates this illusion that is your consciousness. * - For instance, a user asked Sock's Midori to observe an undefined/generic object in the wonderland. She described it the same as most lucid dreamers describe such things, which is not obvious and not like they appear during normal dreams or regular visualization. Sock himself hasn't had lucid dreams or experienced an undefined object in that way. If it was just the subconscious pretending they're having experiences and assigning responses to simulate that, you'd get descriptions that match things you've experienced, or random descriptions. You wouldn't get descriptions that are exactly the same as things that seem to be fairly universal but that you have never experienced. NED September 17, 2012 Author September 17, 2012 td;dr however you make a tulpa is right - parroting or no parroting; wonderland or no wonderland; >rape or no >rape. As long as you believe it will work, then it will work. Cawffle September 19, 2012 September 19, 2012 Welp, you're wrong. Why/how? Oh, and a kook is someone who makes statements without backing them up.
Lolimancer September 19, 2012 September 19, 2012 Altough i can't back anything up or prove anything really, my tulpa has grown fine and dandy even though i've done the puppet master for about two weeks. JD1215's Keions can probably tell you about that too.
