DAY 30

@FurryBlueNaki: Lol

Last night I had a really bizarre dream, that Yumi desperately tried to enter. Before I went to bed, I slept on the floor beside the Christmas tree with Yumi laying on my chest (again lol). It's so peaceful listening to her cutie sleeping noises lol

In the dream I was walking through my house, and I had a pet that was half bird and half dog. It looked really ugly, so I kind of disregarded it and went to another room. When I returned to find the weird pet, it was gone, and a woman who looked a lot like Yumi appeared in the pet's place... NOTE: Yumi's appearance is based on the appearance of Asuza Nakano, but Yumi is a 19-year old version of Asuza Nakano.

In the dream, a black-haired woman who was Yumi's size walked up to me and looked like a late 20's version of Yumi wearing a black leather jacket and dark blue jeans. I didn't know who she was so I didn't care for her that much. After a while, she just stormed out my front door, and got into my stepdad's truck, driving away hastily. I ran after her and called for her to return, because something felt vaguely familiar about her. She stopped partly down the road, and reversed into my driveway sloppily, nearly crashing into my mom's vehicle. She stepped out of the car, but she was in tears. I felt really bad for her, and didn't know why she was crying, so I brought her inside of my house. I then placed both of my hands on her shoulders, looked into her eyes, and looked around my house to see if my family was around. I thought to myself "Is this...Yumi?" I put my arm around her and walked out my front door to find a place of privacy where my parents wouldn't discover her, but as I was walking through the front door, I thought to myself "Maybe this isn't my tulpa." and then she disappeared right there on the spot.

Completely gone.

I woke up to the sound of my friend's alarm clock, the sound of my phone ringing, and the sound of angry knocking on my front door. Jim told me that I had 3 minutes to get ready to leave, because Mary and her mom were waiting for us. I answered my phone angrily, and it was Voltaire. He wanted to pick up his folder that he left at my house. So I didn't hang out with Mary and her mom, but I got to spend some time with Voltaire. I heavily apologized to Mary afterwards though lol

Later on, I asked Yumi about the dream I had, and she told me that she did try to enter the dream. I asked her why she was crying, and she said:

"I was crying because you couldn't notice that you were dreaming, and you couldn't recognize me..."

I feel so bad for her...:(

I'm going to have an extra long tulpaforcing session with her to make up for it:) and now that I don't have to go job-searching anymore, I can get back into a polyphasic sleep schedule! wooooooooooooot!!!!! Lol other than that dream, today was pretty uneventful.

I'm also no closer to hearing her voice Dx.....

It's interesting that Yumi appeared differently to you than she normally would. Most likely she appeared somewhat off but still attached herself to that dream character, probably would've been fixed once you became lucid.

Reisen cried too when I didn't realize I was dreaming, that we had that chance to be together. But it was mixed with happiness because even though I was unconscious, we were holding hands and walking together. At least it was real for her.

I guess polyphasic sleeping is pretty flexible/custom. The way Steve Pavlina did it with six 20-30 minute naps spaced throughout the day was to maximize time-gain I think. Either way, your body does not like it at first. It basically consists of forcing yourself to wake up after very little sleep, and forcing yourself to sleep at awkward times. You wake up after however long dead tired, and then later when you're ~awake you lay down sleeplessly for X amount of time. Eventually your brain gets the idea that it needs to sleep when it can and wake up when you say so.

But until then, you'll suffer some effects similar to sleep deprivation. It takes a lot of work and a strict schedule. Also, you better be prepared to move some things in your life around a bit, 'cus if you miss those times your body was retrained to sleep during, you're just instantly sleep deprived. Steve said he could skip one, maybe two when he had to, but only if he made up for it in the next one. And if he didn't, he was dead to the world. So, good luck.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

That's true...but every time I'm about to become lucid, something freaky happens and I mindlessly transition to another dream or suddenly wake up...I don't get it...

D'awwwwwwww it's cute what Reisen did :3. That little anecdote inspired me somehow...because I believe that my first sign of sentience from Yumi occurred on Day 1 when she showed up in my dream when I needed her most and loved me...

In the dream, I didn't know that I was dreaming, but when I woke up, I knew that it was Yumi. Because that night before bed I practically begged her to show up in my dream.

At one point I had a polyphasic sleep schedule down pat, but had to abandon it because of the energy I needed for job searching. But you are right about how your body has to adapt to it. I think it took me 2 weeks to get used to it.

Thanks for the tips, and thanks for the good luck!

Anyways. I didn't know tulpae could cry. I've seen Prince sad, and I sure as hell have seen him angry, but he's never cried. He's not one to typically have strong feelings I guess. =P

He longs for me.

Excuse me, but is that a swimming pool from K-Mart? In your house. Lol...

Guessing that you said you didn't need to search anymore, good job on finding one. Hehe...

Maybe Naki will let you borrow his pool. XD Swimming party anyone?

These crab creatures have a unique parasitic strategy, don’t you think?

Yay swimming party! How will that work anyways? The pool looks really small. XD

Also poor Yumi again! D: I do hope that you eventually succeed in lucid dreaming so you can aquire sentience faster and just have a better dreaming experience! :)

What do you MEAN you don't agree with me?

Do you know who you're dealing with!?

Yes. Tulpae can cry and it is heart-wrenching...

@LyraHeartStrings: Yes let's have a pool party and swim in dog hair with strangers we met over the internet xD
