Long story short: I decided to try out possession with Calico today, I read a guide, I tried it, but I couldn't get very far because I was confused about what was going to happen to me. Do I just open my eyes and I'm in wonderland? Am I going to feel, smell, taste, touch everything there? Is it going to be realistic...?

Hmm, well that would be switching. Possession is having your tulpa take control over the body in some way, if you want to be technical, even though that apparently includes full-body possession. I can't help with the rest though, because my experience differs from others'. For me, I feel like my tulpas do while they're possessing (fully, mind and all, basically switching). But I don't suddenly have this perfect immersion and transfer of consciousness where I now live in my wonderland. It's more like my tulpa takes over the body's consciousness, and I'm left with the subconscious automatic thinking my tulpas seem to have. For me, being switched is like becoming a tulpa while my tulpa becomes the human. I'd say universally, it's like watching your tulpa take over everything. Your actual experience will vary though.

Apparently there's some magical barrier of belief-creating reality that prevents me from experiencing this like others, because my beliefs are different than others'. I dunno what your thoughts on the matter are, in fact it seems like you're still deciding, so all I can say is it's like relinquishing control of the body and thoughts to your tulpa, who then takes over those responsibilities. I don't know what it'll feel like for you, I can't, no one can. But if my experience means anything, choose your beliefs carefully, because they may change the reality you experience.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

Yeah, switching. My bad. >_<

Thanks for putting in your two cents! :P
