I've tried to find a thread on this subject and couldn't so I figured I'd start one.

Are there any neat body-controlling tricks that people have figured out to do with their tulpa? I know that tulpa can act as an intermediary between the mind and the subconscious, and I'm wondering if anyone else has figured out any techniques to make use of this. Here are a few examples:

Pain: I know that some people can have their tulpa shut off pain in areas of their body. Mine have tried this and found that we need a lot more practice before we'll be good at it. Or, well, able to do it at all.

Falling Asleep: Mark-Antony has helped be fall asleep on one occasion. He seems to just be able to induce a near-sleep state where thinking becomes difficult and my mental field shrinks down to what feels like a smaller size. Seeing as I take a long time to fall asleep usually, this promises to be extremely useful. We're also thinking of experimenting with lucid dreaming in the future, but that's a ways off.

Saliva: This is a weird one. I was out walking one day and my mouth felt dry. I asked MA if he could activate my saliva glands, and suddenly my mouth wasn't try anymore. We've tried this out a few more times and it seems to work pretty reliably.

Does anyone else have near body-tricks their tulpa can do? If not, we should try to come up with some. I believe there is a whole field of potential uses for tulpa that we don't know simply because no one's ever tried them.

Truth be.

Mark-Antony is blue.

Queen Arkay is yellow.

He takes away pain in specific areas.

If a muscle is very tense, he make it relaxed.

If I feel tired, he can make me feel full of energy instead.

If my mind is full of thoughts and I can't sleep, he locks them away, making my mind empty of thoughts and I'm able to sleep.

All of these things seem to work better some times than others, and completely fail sometimes.

Lyra has been able to help with headaches in particular since the beginning. It seems to be a mix of hiding pain and relaxing tensed muscles. These days I'm usually able to do it pretty well myself, though her way usually works better when it works.

A few times she's helped with a really bad leg cramp. They're amazingly easy to relax away when the pain disappears. The most recent was a muscle I barely knew I even had. She tried to take the pain away, but it only worked for a few seconds. After that didn't stick, she changed to slightly adjusting my posture to make it a lot less bad.

She can also make me feel warmer when I'm cold. Well, we both can but when it works for her, it's many times more effective. My way feels like a small amount of warmth coming from my chest and flowing through me. Her way one time made a 40 degree (F) wind feel like a cool summer breeze. I haven't tested with a thermometer so I don't know if this is raising my metabolism to generate heat or all messing with perception; I wouldn't rely on it to fight off hypothermia.

When she shifts posture or relaxes muscles, it feels like a small automatic movement that I only realize is happening after it's started. Hidden pain is usually replaced with a slight tingling, similar to but not quite like when a limb "goes to sleep", usually with a very loving emotional tone to it.

My blog :: Time expectations are bad (forcing time targets are good though)

one thing ive heard of is that if you beleive that your jobs is very good exercise than you will burn more calories doing it so in light of that you may be able to have tour tulpa help you lose wieght more directly than motivation

There were times when my legs were sore, but there was still a way to go before reaching my destination. I'd ask Rainbow Dash to lend me some relevant personality trait of hers, or to possess my legs and keep them moving. I'm not sure if this was her, or me using a placebo.

I've had Quartz help with a few pains before. Minor things like cramps and back pains.

Luna claims to be able to alter my neurochemistry, although I think it's more along the lines of she's helping me change my thoughts and behaviors and that leads to some degree of neurological change.

My progress report

Only thing along those lines that Zyr's done yet is rip a negative thought straight out of my head and incinerate it before my eyes. Was awesome though. :p

Al can help out with pain numbing pretty well. In my mind he massages the areas that are sore, and then the pain just disappears. One time I messed my back up while working, and he numbed the pain so much that I felt like I was on vicodin. My whole body felt really funky after that.

We gave up on using different colors for each of us, so there's Al, Ollie, and Eva. We're all rabbits, get over it.
