solarchariot November 1, 2018 November 1, 2018 I have a friend at work who is Christian and I told him about Tulpas. He thinks it's all Satanic. He was telling me how he though that it was a demon tricking me into thinking it's a "Tulpa" I don't know if this is true of all Christians. but he was quite negative about it. Yeah, Angry Bear, this old... but in some ways, kind of interesting... What interest me most is 'christians' by definition believe in things 'unseen.' And yet, if you see things that other people don't see, you're mentally ill or conversing with demons? If tulpas were 'demons' I find even more interesting that tulpas more often than not treat their hosts better than 'christians' treat each other. And, if all people were supposed to be doing miracles, because well, we're taught 'all these things you can do and more,' and yet if you dabble, well, again you're doing something you're not supposed to be? What the heck? Was it Heinlein who wrote about the demons that were just aliens trying to educate us? Oh, Childhood's End...
Guest July 25, 2019 July 25, 2019 God wasn't helping with my depression anymore. AndI was very lonely due to depression. I was willing to try anything. Apparently they were right under my nose though.
Ice909 August 27, 2019 August 27, 2019 So apparently this thread exists. Yes, I am Christian, and yes, I am a tulpamancer. I see tulpas as the same as any other person. Not demons, and not angels. Evidence: Just about everyone in my system has pushed me closer to God. Angels, right? Nope. They're still hella gay and cuss about as much as a truck driver. That's not very angelic of you. I once tried telling my youth paster(super chill dude) about tulpas(I worded it in the "So I have a friend who..." cliche way), and he basically said that they're demons. Yes, because demons pray with me and sing worship songs. I think most by-the-book Christians don't want to believe that there might be something besides demons or angels in your head. Most Christians I've asked about DID or schizophrenia say that the voices are demons. I'd rathe bot get my whole church against me by explaining the psychology behind it, though, so I have to let them believe what they wanna believe. Someday, when we can switch, I'll probs have Layy or someone is the main fronter for church and make it kinda like a middle finger to the youth paster that is convinced that the voices in my "friend's" head are demons. Oh, well. Hey there, the name's Bryan. In system Re:Body(In order of the rainbow): Sean, Esper, Blinky, Compact, Janey, Kyle, Gwen'd, Gwen, Emily, Rollin, Waynin, Trease, Layy, Justin, Chloe, Zachery, and Elliot. I've been here a while. Much longer than I thought I'd be. Our system was founded October 2nd, 2018. In early 2020, we decided that due to our systems exponential growth, we'd limit who would be active. Now, every month, we do a check to see who wishes to be in dormancy and who wishes to be active. Currently, for the month of April, 2023, we've got myself(Bryan), Janey(Co-host), Emily, Layy, Chloe, and Esper(sub-rep). After over 2 long years, we can finally switch :) Bryan is currently swapped in as host, Esper is sub-rep. ShinigamiK August 28, 2019 August 28, 2019 Christian Buddhist here. I did have caution first getting into this because of demonic concerns, but I also had been cautioned away from meditation from other Christians also and found that to be nonsense, so I ended up branching out anyway, albeit with caution. I think anything can be taken to a harmful extreme, and tulpamancy is no exception (and same with Christianity tbh), but I think tulpamancy has great benefits as well.
Jamie August 28, 2019 August 28, 2019 I'm a sorta vague Christian. I like Unitarian Universalism. Reading Walden and listening to John Denver were probably influences, and then I just wanted to experiment, find my own path. Ended up liking the UU 7 Principles and their whole vibe. My host is pretty athestic and none of us were raised with religion. - C The world is far, the world is wide; the man needs someone by his side. Our Thread
Michen_S August 28, 2019 August 28, 2019 Yes, I'm Christian, though I don't go to church. The church closest to me that suits me is 50 minutes away, by bike. As for denomination, you could say I'm leaning towards protestant, though I have a more spiritual (and many would say unorthodox) view on some things. I have been born out of Michen's religious beliefs. In fact, I'm fully ingrained in them. It goes deeper for me than it does for Michen, and I've been giving him religious and spiritual advice for a long time now. Like Michen, I lean towards protestant, but I don't have a particular view of it. What I can agree with, though, is that his viewpoint works great for him, and it suits him well. So with that, I support his viewpoint wholeheartedly. Michen, host or "main" / Amantha, anthro arctic fox tulpa
