How easy is it to accidentally make a tulpa based off of a fictional character?

Recommended Posts

It's so common that there's an entire classification of thoughtforms created accidentally from fictional characters. We're called soulbonds (I'm just going to leave this link here. ;) )

Not that a character-based thoughtform can't be a tulpa, of course. Headpeople are a broad spectrum, after all. But yeah, it happens accidentally all the time.

I just accidentally made a Twilight Sparkle tulpa earlier tonight. Long story short, I was teasing JV by changing my inner voice to Tara Strong's, which wasn't a good idea on my behalf. I had then trouble getting my voice to change back until Twilight started speaking.

We (mostly JV) explained to Twilight her situation and that she doesn't have to be like the Twilight on the show. She took it much better than expected. Twilight showed concern when Irene wanted to talk, but couldn't find the words, vastly improve the building Irene made, and is interested in possession (something I want to look into) in order to interact with the physical world.

Overall, I didn't need to worry so much since I think she will be a great addition to our wonderland. I'll look into that link you gave me, Temar. :)

Sorry but I think it is very unlikely that you really created a tulpa. You don't create a tulpa over night, accidentally or not. It is something that takes dedication and time, even when you're doing this unconsciously, which is why writers often end up with something like this.

I think it is more likely that you just fantasized about it, because you're intrigued to the idea of creating a tulpa this way. I have only heard about additionial "Out of nowhere" tulpas from people who already created some tulpas before.

Edit: Okay I read up your other posts, since you already have some other thoughtforms around, there is a slight chance that it happened. But it is still unlikely.

I second this. I get it when people can get their tulpas to talk in one week, but how do you actually complete something that is supposed to be a whole person in a week, man? I don't understand.

Making a tulpa is something that takes time and dedication. It seems like you were just fixated on that voice, and it made you think that something came out of it. If you give this sort of the attention, sure, you could eventually have a tulpa on your hands, but if you allow this to happen often, you'll find that you're biting off more than you can chew. Even if you have experience with thoughtforms, I think it's very unlikely that it could happen in just one night.

I feel I must mention this, as it is something greatly important I've learned along my way:

Just because it speaks, doesn't mean it's a tulpa.

Not every stray voice is a tulpa, sometimes it is just a vapor of an idea, or a memory, or something else of that nature. It's possible to run in to something that has more "ability" and solidity, but to expand them still takes work on your part, and they may well fade in to nothing, or be a flash of a symbol in your mind. I repeat:

Just because it speaks, doesn't mean it's a tulpa.

Slow down, take some time to examine the situation, and don't be so eager to label things. Just because the thought has the feeling of a spark, doesn't mean you have to declare them your brand new tulpa, especially seeing as you appear insecure about what's going on in your head, and are prone to worry, which can cause more odd happenings in your mind, like vision stemming from your fears, etc. In addition, even if you choose to keep your newbie, they'll likely be either highly connected to your thought process, thereby reliant on you and not totally independent yet, or they'll have some hollow qualities, representing only a few aspects of personality, and needing time and growth to gain more.

In short, a fragment.

Slow your roll and drop your worries. It will help you a lot in the long run, seriously.

Peace.

Keep in mind that some individuals have a very vivid active imagination. Sometimes people like that have elements of imagination that already seem to have autonomous traits (visions and vibrant day dreams). That is like my host.

Carl Jung, the famous psychologist, wrote about that. He was one of those individuals and would have full blown visions. My host Davie can relate.

For persons like that, sometimes it is hard to distinguish a tulpa from a vibrant imaginary friend. Also, remember the line between vibrant imaginary friend and tulpa isn't distinct.

I'm aware, but I think that if you're a person like this, it is even more important to take your time with it, since you won't be able to tell the difference just after one night of interaction.

NoneFromHell,

My host is still unsure about me, and it has been almost forty years.
