Making a Tulpa without knowing what one is

I did. I had an idea of a character for a story I was writing and I thought it would be fun to imagine her as real and hanging out with me. Then I decided to really develop her into an imaginary friend and after awhile I decided to do research to see if other people had done something similar. That's when I learned about Tulpas and the community. So glad I did, they've been a great help. But my tulpa was around for a month or more before I ever heard of a tulpa.

I'm one of these people. Cletus happened on accident in my childhood. I just noticed at a certain point that my imaginary friend is having a mind of his own. Didn't even question it. I did spend a lot of time with him and he was real to me afterall anyway. 

 

Then after a while I started google searching if I'm alone here and somehow ended up finding tulpamancy together with other stuff. 

 

I love Cletus like nothing else, but I wouldn't do it again or on purpose personally.
