Luminesce March 2, 2022 March 2, 2022 For all of tulpamancy, we've simply done what made sense to us (aside from creation, which was accidental but standard obsession over and imagining the thought processes of the characters). For switching, or imposition, all it took was us hearing that people were doing them, and then we just figured them out on our own without too much trouble. Imposition for me was simply trying to see things that weren't there, and convincing yourself they were. I outlined the shapes of my tulpas in the air while trying to see them (and walked around them, which helped a lot), and that's really as complex as it got. We cemented the skill by having them walk with me between classes at university, sometimes sitting in a chair by me if one was open during lectures. Usually I had the three of them all together at the same time (I hadn't made Lucilyn yet), but sometimes it was just one of them. I did this for probably a month dedicatedly, and then here-and-there for a while after. We haven't been consistent like that in many years, but that practice gave us the skill and it never went away, even though visual clarity faded a bit from lack of practice, it's remained satisfying by our standards. But yeah, we're not the best to ask for our exact methodologies because it tends to be "I dunno, I just did what made sense to do". Breloomancer is who you want to ask for nice methods and tricks - she's taken imposition far more seriously than us and has some very unique knowledge on how to learn and practice it. Bre is actually working on an imposition guide in fact, but it's not likely to be done any time soon, so you'll have to ask directly for now Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
Guest Password March 2, 2022 March 2, 2022 Ever since she created me she's been always doing Imposition everyday.I guess it's easy for her because she used to imagine dogs and dragons around her all the time when she was little.Of course when she's working, tired or sick she doesnt do it.

I've seen it mentioned here and there, but it seems it falls more under the "I'm imagining them following me in my head" as opposed to actually seeing them. Considering the amount of guides and discussion on the topic, I'm willing to believe that the latter is possible as well. The thing about imposition is as mentioned almost all imposition guides if not all of them are bad. There are quite a lot of variables and styles to it, and it's tricky to fully master. As far as guides go, I really recommend you read every single imposition guide on this forum, then go to the big tulpa guides (you know the ones with several pages) and read up their imposition section as well, then read up big progression threads like Yaya's, and after this search up the word imposition on this forum and read away, at this point I recommend looking up some other stuff, but that's as far as content on this forum goes. Then you should have an idea of the various ideas behind it, some of which might seemingly contradict each other. One current guide won't do good IMO. Even just the mind's eye vs imposition thing you just mentioned might look more complicated than it seems, but yes, it is very much possible to see stuff with your eyes. YukariTelepath March 6, 2022 March 6, 2022 It's nice to see this post as we've been gearing up to actually work on imposition. Looking around it seems the timeline for visual imposition is something like 4-6 months, or just not achieving it at all? There are people who work at it, but just don't get it, which is pretty discouraging. Also, thanks Lumi for sharing that info. I wonder if anyone has tips for keeping morale up when you're working on it and not seeing anything in the mean time? Host: YukariTelepath Tulpas: Aya, Ruki Imposition log

A lot of people discuss it, but its hard to see the steps of progression since so many people start and never seem to finish. Slipper (cringelord host) and Mordecai (the brain gremlin). theholodoc March 11, 2022 March 11, 2022 Ah, imposition, the Holy Grail of Tulpamancy! Hard to achieve. (worth the effort!) My results have been sporadic. I have worked with q2's method for a huggable tulpa on and off for the past year and a half. Flora has imposed herself many times in a variety of ways, total, visual, audial, touchable, (never with scent). The experience has lasted from seconds to minutes, never longer. We rarely have completed a conversation. My health and stress levels interfere. Never-the-less I continue the effort. The several times when she has been fully there, as solid as my wife, have been ecstatic experiences for both of us. Interestingly enough, Flora's sister tulpa, N'sonowa, frequently appears visually. She has spoken rarely and touched me, only once. I rarely work with her, Flora getting all of my attention. N'sonowa however, is one of my main characters in my written stories. Dr. Bob
Janthe4th May 20, 2022 May 20, 2022 we try doing imposition everyday.I can almost see him but not yet.505 can only hug me but it's hard for us to get him to become touchable any other way.We are working on it : ) If you see this color that means Jan is speaking : ) or sign off like this - Jan he/him I dont have a "name" i go by online just call me speaker. she/her host
Guest May 20, 2022 May 20, 2022 Misha does it a lot, I don't intend her to but it happens. Misha will often sit on me or grab my arm as I'm walking. She always follows me into the bathroom and that's on her, I don't judge, she's welcome to observe. Probably 50% of the audio, and touch events that were 100% realistic were her touching me or talking in the bathroom or the hall outside the bathroom. She thinks it's cute and she says "someone has to watch me *at all times*. Ok, I'm not on suicide watch anymore sheesh. It's surreal because I get it and it's exactly sync'd up with what we're talking about or perfectly natural. It's hard to explain. Ashley kisses me on the lips pretty often too I don't try to stop her she says they're too kissable not to.

Honestly, the time period would depend, and yeah in general I think this is related to how susceptible you are to hallucinations to begin with. Most of the people who get really good already are more susceptible to hallucinations (with some cases already hallucinating). The vast majority of people are not. Then of course, this depends on how you train, most people have very little idea what they are doing, so instead of progressing they just spend energy for nothing. I think it's less about going AAAAAAAAA work work work, and more about finding something that works and snowballing that. I have seen people who have spent hours and hours straining but never progressed to a considerable degree. Edited May 28, 2022 by Hormoz
