fantasy May 28, 2012 Author May 28, 2012 I think I've finally decided that I want my tulpa to take the form of a small deer. Not like a cartoon deer, but an actual deer. If it deviates from that, then thats fine. I'm kind of hoping it will to an extent. But I really just did not want a human tulpa. Since my main goal out of having a tulpa is memory recall and companionship I think something simple like a deer will do just fine.
FigN01 May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 Mine pretty much evolved as a character in my sketchbook that was a combination of what I most enjoyed drawing. Basically, he's a representation of my own creativity. I don't think anything can get more personal than that. It's also partly why I prefer him to be non-human- that he has a truly unique form that has some inherent meaning behind it, which I don't think a human can approach quite so well. If I'm gonna make my own fantasy companion, then damnit I'm gonna overthink it.

Avalanche May 28, 2012 May 28, 2012 Since I'm an unoriginal and sentimental fuck, I took a character and changed most of the things about it. This gave me a good compromise between staying with the character's base, and having a unique and individual tulpa. Basically the appearance has been altered (and will probably deviate further in time) and the personality is pretty much 90-95% different. I don't even think of the character now that I'm nearly done with the main work of the personality. Basically I took and idea and ran with it and changed it until it was different enough, but still retained the little part of the character I liked. So not 100% original, but nothing ever is. You could make up a tulpa ll by yourself, but it would have been done before in parts in other works, you just don't know about them. frt

tulpatalk May 29, 2012 May 29, 2012 So why wouldn't you go with a human tulpa? I bet I could rebuttle any argument for making a nonhuman tulpa. I issue this challenge to all. I'm sorry. I was a faggot yesterday. [Note: Opinions]

Guest Anonymous May 29, 2012 May 29, 2012 I'm sorry. I was a faggot yesterday. It's alright. It actually helped me decide on what form I wanted my tulpa to be for awhile, but I'm back to be split evenly between a human and pony tulpa. I think I'll be stuck contemplating it's form for the rest of my life and die before I even get the chance to make one. Indecisiveness feels bad man.
tulpatalk May 29, 2012 May 29, 2012 Why would you want a pony? Because you've developed an attachment to the show. Which will either mess up your tulpa or faee away, leaving you with a tulpa in a regretful form. Or it could be worse. You could, rather than just have it fade away, it could be thought about, being reminded by the tulpa's form. Then the regret will build. Your opinion will reverse, trying to drive it away. And it spirals out of control from that. And that's bad. [Note: Opinions]
