I was going to go with a pony from the MLP show, but I changed my mind and made an OC instead, then I thought it would be weird to lay in bed with a pony (there is a picture floating around on the internet of a guy doing just this), so I decided on a human form.

Since the thread is bumped, I might as well post.

She chose it herself. (I think)

When I was considering making a tulpa, I had no idea whether I wanted a male or female tulpa or what he/she should look like.

I knew I wanted a human tulpa, but that was all I decided.

While I was reading the guides, the moment I finalised my decision to make a tulpa, I knew exactly what she would look like.

It was a bit different from what I may have consciously come up with, but I liked it and accepted it straight away.

Shortly thereafter, I put in a visualisation session to enhance my memory of the details.

I haven't made a lot of progress yet, but I'm sure she's comfortable with her body.

I'm with you there, bud.

I chose a human because I don't understand why people would choose anything different. I can't explain why, I just don't get it. And that isn't an attack on people who chose nonhuman forms; in fact, I would like for someone to explain it to me, but it would probably be in vain.

As for why my tulpa will be female? I think that having a female tulpa is a sort of complementary to my being male. I think opposite sex tulpas make sense. Also, if I'm going to live with a tulpa for the rest of my life, I'd prefer it to have a form that's nice to look at.

Hell I apparently have never typed anything in here so why not.

I always felt like Roswell would be a dude and he always was named Roswell even, so his form obviously was going to be that of a male unless he wanted to change it. He also felt like one who would look older, so he ended up looking pretty old too. Middle aged and all that. I think oldness gave him some really interesting textures to work with as I'm a really touch-based person, always enjoyed working with clay and such more than just drawing on a flat surface, you know? An old person isn't smooth, they're wrinkly and you can feel their pores and his skin is kind of oily and the hair is graying, but those are the little interesting things I enjoyed feeling when doing visualization and working on touch. And he too feels he looks like he should look, if he had a, well, look. It's imaginary and could be changed, but he likes it. And he likes his horns too. He has to have horns apparently. I think he has a horn fetish please help. He gives my imaginary form horns too.

I guess technically he's non-human but humanoid anyways?

Welp, as I've probably mentioned in other threads, my Ayako came day 1, none of which I chose but may have been influenced by my fetishes/desires (which she doesn't mind) with a form I didn't change along with her self-chosen name and backstory (Which contradictory to other tulpas with backstory tales, she doesn't mind as her "birth parents" are NPCs/Servitors somehow (I didn't do it) so she doesn't have to miss them and regard them as "fake" causing an identity crisis; I recommend this to tulpas you or they have accidentally given them a backstory). The only deviation about her appearance since appearing to me 3 years ago is how she styles the back of her hair when she has it up. It was static until half a week ago. Go figure.

In all honesty, I didn't choose her form in the slightest, nor did I even choose to create a tulpa at all. She just appeared to me and I am eternally grateful for that. It was of course painful as everloving hell in the beginning because I was completely on my own, but I never once rejected any aspect of her. I think this is the way it should be. Have your undeveloped tulpa choose their own form and subsequently send you a mental picture enough times that you can visualize and concentrate on it enough that you can eventually bring it into forcing sessions.

She's human as she is my long-term girlfriend. I wouldn't want it any other way. We'll do anything and make any compromise for each other as long as it's not retarded. Overall it's great.
