Hey guys, i have a bit of a question about forcing and meditating, specifically as outlined in the shaky meditation guide on the site. Although i've tried in the past and have done a fair amount of reading on it, i've never really been able to accomplish a notable session of meditation. Probably the closest i've ever come is while doing the forcing meditation on the main site (http://tulpa.info/guides/horricide-meditation-guide.html), but i'm not entirely sure i'm doing it right. The big red light for me is the lack of any physical response:

If you did it right' date=' then YOU WILL SHAKE and YOUR EYES WILL TWITCH if they're closed. That's completely normal and harmless, it just means it's working. Congratulations.[/quote']

Probably the closest i've come to this is the sensation of the blood draining from my hands as i hold them in front of me. I visualize what needs to be visualized perfectly (to my knowledge, anyway) and my Tulpa, capable of answering yes/no questions to an extent, seems to acknowledge that it did SOMETHING, although that was probably moreso visualizing him than the actual process of the meditation.

So my question is, if you haven't guessed already, is whether or not i'm doing anything more than staring at my Tulpa in my mind's eye would accomplish. Should i be working on trying to get basic meditation skills down better first? Is there a minimum amount of time before there is a physical response? The guide seems to imply it happens fast and causes a significant amount of fatigue. While we're at it, if any of you have any off the top of your head, do you guys know any alternative forcing meditations?

Thanks for reading; good luck with your forcing!

What you're doing sounds fine. Just stare at your tulpa, try to touch, etc. Avoid overly exciting thoughts. As for focus on this visualization and move about your wonderland, you will enter a more meditative state naturally.

Don't ask yourself if you're in a meditative state. Doing so will likely snap you out of it. Only concern yourself with your tulpa and wonderland.

"Josh used this method with me early on as well. He didn't get any shakes or twitches mentioned in the guide, but we still feel that it 'worked'. I personally really enjoyed it- how it made me feel, anyway. It was slightly boring, admittedly."
