A most likely trivial issue

I haven't read every single question here and I'm using a mobile device but if somebody could answer this I would appreciate it.

 

I can sort of 'feel' a presence when I try to visualize my tulpa, but the form changes erratically even if I try to focus. Its not a small thing, its the entire form each time. Do I just need to invest more time into visualization?

maybe your tulpa is just deviating, ive heard of many tulpae that did this, my tulpa did exactly the same, just trust it will "eventualy" find a form it likes then work from there.

Or make a base form, then let the tulpa deviate within the baseform.

 

Another thing is not being focused in the visualization at hand, sometimes intrusive thoughts may interfere in visualization, try to clear your mind before forcing.

 

Also, for how long have you been forcing/started on your tulpa?

I'll try that. Its just that he won't just deviate into a form. He keeps changing as if to say he doesn't WANT a form. But I will definitely try to clear my mind and then try.

He doesn't talk. He's not very old.

 

Possibly, but I would like a base form. He hasn't shown any signs of sentience except this if you were to count it as him and not my mind. So I don't know what he wants .-.

But in my experience:

my tulpa changed allot when she was young, but on the basis of every couple days, (not whenever I tried to visualize her). She turned out to be a shape-shifter tulpa. so IMHO I would suggest telling your tulpa what you are going to visualise him as. this may force him to settle for a bit, this helped me visualize anyway.

Also don't forget to work on the other parts of your good friend! his form may become more clear as you reinforce his personality.

Thank you, too, for your input. I managed to fall asleep while visualizing so sorry for that. Heh. I'll tell him what I'd like to visualize him as, then try to get a stable form. I know he doesn't have to be one form though. =)
