Lacquer March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 What paradigm shifts have occurred in the tulpa community? When did they happen? I don't remember dates, but here are a couple: Parroting isn't considered as evil as it once wasTulpas are no longer considered to take 100 or more hours to make What else and when? Also, when did the two I posted take place?
fennecfoxx March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 Tulpae are sentient from the start. Falling asleep while forcing is harmless. You can't accidentally make a servitor. Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here: Host: fennec (they/them) Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her) Delete all memories of those who know my awkward past
Avalanche March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 Parroting was thought to overwrite a tulpa's thoughts and basically make them super annoyed. Some even thought it hurt them. It's not believed that it's just an aid for the host to get into the right mindset. Tulpae do take a long time to create, but not as long as we once thought. As more and more people complete the process, we learn to do it faster and faster. A better estimate would be about 50-100 hours now. Anything under that is roleplay or an exceptional case. frt
Guest Anonymous March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 Puppeting isn't also as evil as it once was, accidental tulpa creation is easier than first thought, not all tulpas like that label, and they have existed in the western world for at least 40 years.
waffles March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 Possession is very rare -> possession is the end goal rather than imposition in many cases. This happened, I think, because a few people figured possession out and got it working, and everybody else thought it was pretty neat. Upon trying, you might know that preliminary results are much easier to get than in imposition, so I suppose that encouraged people to do more possession. This happened gradually, but I would guess between between 3 and 6 months ago. Hour counts scare can be dated pretty easily. Look at Chupi's hysterical blog post for a nice date there - August 8 2012 that was. 'Tulpas are sentient from the start' was a method early on. Refer to Phi's "Treating as sentient Before sentience" for a rough start point: beginning of June 2012.
Black Bane March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 not all tulpas like that label, and they have existed in the western world for at least 40 years. ...huh? example(s)? For Science!
Spice March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 I dunno about saying that the odd community member believes falling asleep while forcing is harmless, quite a few think it damaging. Though I'd say it's a fair majority that's okay with it. Despite the name, the host bodybody is the one usually using this account. Spice was born in 2013 and Tomoe was born in 2014.
fennecfoxx March 2, 2013 March 2, 2013 Here's one thing I was just reminded of on another thread: it was once believed that, if you didn't visualize your tulpa naked first, they wouldn't be able to change clothes. That's been proven false.
