Laying down? Or sitting?

I hate sitting and standing, because within 20 minutes it leads to my back aching very slightly. I know this is normal, but it is very distracting when I'm trying to tulpaforce. Would it be apropriate to lay down while tulpaforcing? I know that it's probably a stupid question, but from what I have read, less people lie down, than sit up while tulpaforcing.

Yeah, laying down is fine.

I May be wrong, but I always consider an aching back to be the sign of a bad position. I don't have those since I found the way I had to sit.

The only real issue you face by laying down is to fall asleep and, even though some people think it's wrong, I think most tulpa won't mind. It only reduces the amount if tome you spent forcing.

Hope that helps, and that my English isn't that bad because I just woke up.

Good luck !

I normally sit down when tulpaforcing because if I'm laying down, I might fall asleep. And maybe you could invest in some pillows where one is behind your back, one you sit on, and another that's around your lower leg regions to reduce the back strain. And like Kraph stated, it's due to how you position yourself. I manage to keep my back fairly straight up, and although it might feel awkward the first few times, it'll come by naturally and you can do something like counting your breathing to gradually ease your mind into something else while you subconsciously keep the position to where you want it to be.

Other than that, you should look into finding ways to have an easier time to sit for longer periods of time.

Thanks guys!

I lay down, too, but sitting makes me fidget more. I've only fallen asleep once, but that was because I was dead exhausted. To me, laying down helps me focus better.

I usually sit down for forcing, and it can be uncomfortable at times. You can experiment with different levels of reclining ranging from sitting straight up to laying full back.

Due to lack of sleep, I am always tired. If I am lying down and trying to force, I will fall asleep 8 out of 10 times. I find sitting up works just as well, but I have less of a chance of dozing off. I just sit in an armchair and make sure I'm comfortable before forcing.
