I've started forcing my tupper a few days ago, visualizing her and hanging out in my minds eye, and injecting personality, but then I thought "is this really all I do before I get some sort of response?"

I thought, "maybe you have to really concentrate on your desire for the tupper to be sentient and independent to get results other than easier future visualization of a favorite person, because people visualize others they know for self-help purposes and don't end up with a tulpa"

So I was trying to focus on my desire for her to be independent, really inject it into the session, and I could only do it weakly...

What I'm wondering is, is what I'm doing actually what others with emerging or complete tulpas did? Or did most successfully start getting responses from their tulpa with only the want for sentience implied? (Implied meaning simply in thought without forcefully thinking about it)

My lip hurts.

Your writing seems to suggest that most of what you're doing is visualising. That's good, but you probably want to be paying more attention to your tulpa in other ways, such as talking to them. Not actually your question, I know, but worth mentioning.

I'm sure it would help but you don't have to do it. Quite likely the main reason that activities similar to making a tulpa don't result in one is expectation, which is sort of what you're suggesting I suppose.

People have made tulpas with all sorts of methods, and I'm sure yours is among them. However, I think you'll find that the majority of people didn't go all out with "really concentrat[ing] on your desire for the tupper to be sentient and independent".

You never really told me if that's what you did before your tulpa started responding. Did you hold your desire for the tupper to be sentient while forcing? And, atm, I visualize hanging out with her and talking to her.

Hey there Yori, stopping in to say that you should read tons of guides, and generally lurk tons of general discussion threads, and Q and A. Remember this though, no guide is the best guide, they are only personal methods, take different parts of guides, and come up with methods that work best for you. Personally my tulpa is vocal, but I only passive forced, something many would not advise you to do.

TL;DR, research, and make your own methods that work for you

Also I only had an implied desire for sentience so, that should work

Rem ad triarios redisse

Ah yeah I'm on reading guides myself, especially on Forcing, although general and Q&A threads wouldn't reveal the tiny details of whether or not someone did what I was trying to do, so I posted a thread to quell my fears.

Talk to your tulpa. That is what kerin did with me. It seems to have worked.

Please consider supporting Tulpa.info.

Is that most of what he did with you (after visualizing you, perhaps)? Did he have you talk back first? Like imagining things you're saying for you?

If you'd like to know about personal stories, for the first month-ish of creation I mostly narrated to my tulpa without the expectation of getting a response. I expected her to talk at one point or another and didn't worry myself about when that time was. My priority was to get my mind used to the idea of her being there. One day I heard a suggestion on the forums to try and visualize giving your tulpa a megaphone in order to help them become vocal, and it worked for us(although I'm not much one for visualization).

I would recommend not worrying too much about your tulpa talking. She'll talk when she's ready. Just try to spend time with her to 'strengthen' her in your mind and everything will work itself out.

I didn't really. My desire was only "implicit" as you put it.
