You can't turn her into a real person like Pinocchio.

I hate to disagree with everyone, but this is the metaphysical forum where all things are possible. (...) There is something called Chucky the possessed doll. My concern is that you may open a door that you can not close. Remember the sorcerer's apprentice? What if you bring it to life and it tries to kill you like Frankenstein's monster?

You do realize that Chucky the possessed doll, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and the Frankenstein's Monster are all fictional things from fiction

^^^^^^^so much this

If there was any probability of a host turning their tulpa into a real human being, that would augment speculation that reality itself can somehow be contingent on our subjective experience, i.e., subjectivism.

It would turn inside out on presumptions of there being an objective reality that isn't contingent on our subjective experience and awareness, and thus gradually makes something like solipsism a practical way to gauge how nature and existence of things are based wholly on.

Even if there's a propensity for agnostic presumptions, e.g., "could be; our cognitive horizon can only go so far, so you can't be irrefutably right/wrong," if this was something that was easily achieved, it would be something inherent that anyone can do, but this obviously isn't the case. And if evolution is going to be a topic here, then it'll probably be people feeling there's a telos, i.e, ultimate purpose, with any advantage of creating thought-forms that can exist in this spatio-temporal reality, and that would just cause confusion.

See, that's what I was trying to avoid. You guys should've just accepted lucid dreaming, now you've got the reality police on you.

(Thanks Linkzelda, you always add that scientific view that I can't quite conceive of myself)

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

You do realize that Chucky the possessed doll, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and the Frankenstein's Monster are all fictional things from fiction

That may be. But some some fictional stories are based on reality. Like "All the King's Men" was based on the life of Huey Long. Also there may be a plane of existence where fictional characters are REAL! Let me affirm that I am not a bot.

Golem, possessed doll, Frankenstein's monster. Has everyone in metaphysics forgotten that according to Tibetan mythology tulpas already could turn into real people? You all need a remedial course in Alexandra David-Neel.

And that argument that any creation of man will turn on him like Frankenstein's monster is a tired old cliché of bad horror stories. If it were true, would anyone have children?

The truth is, any child (natural or not) can turn out like Frankenstein's monster, or like Pinocchio. Do you know the difference between those characters? Their fathers. Pinocchio was a bad boy who became good because his father loved him. Frankenstein's monster was a good boy who became bad because his father hated him. The same is true of all children.

Thanks for reminding me. Yes the Velveteen Rabbit was loved into existence. Then the boy grew up and ignored the rabbit! Beware!

If I remember correctly, in Tibetan mythology a tulpa will become physical when several monks focus on it long and hard enough. Tulpas here are all "owned" by one person, their host, and I dare say that I doubt anyone here is a tibetan monk with the knowledge and experience to force their tulpa into reality...

Though it's still just mythology. I think it isn't based on reality of any sort, but rumors of the time. Like Näkki, a water monster in Finnish folklore, was created to keep children from going into deep waters and Näkki would snatch them if they did.

Okay, Chris-One if you're serious about this you may as well watch this video:

I'll summarize. Terrance Mckenna is smoking hash in a cave, looking out into the desert. He see's a mirage and he plays with the idea that the mirage is a guy bringing food. It ends up being true. It's sorta like a wish that the universe has granted. The guy had a completely plausible story for why he was there with food.

Here's what you can try doing. Tell yourself that your tulpa can enter your physical reality if it's appropriate. The tulpa will not recognize himself as your tulpa; he will have a plausible story as to how he's always been a human on your planet which is not falsifiable.

I frankly do not think that spirit would grant you this request because it's very likely not relevant to your life theme, but I can't say for sure. Anyway, good luck.

If I ever saw a therapist, he’d leave the room saying: “That guy’s creepier than three Draculas, two Count Choculas, and an Alucard.”

I think a tulpa grows into a 'real human' when they master switching/fronting and can help out more like systemmates, equally capable of running the meatship, helping with the burdens of reality.

Early member of a large system.  Our system questions the way the afterlife and tulpamancy interact.  We genuinely suspect that deadies can return to share the mind of the living.

I think that when we focus on a tulpa it can start to take form in our thoughts, and that the tulpa resides on the astral plane when we aren't consciously thinking about it. On the astral plane thoughts become things instantaneously, and the longer we give something attention, the longer it takes for it to dissipate on the astral. And perhaps after long enough something may gain permanence from getting lots of attention/ energy. I don't know if anyone has tried astral projection with their tulpa before, so this is just a random thought.

I also think that human beings can create anything through the power of will and intent, even make the mental become physical. I think human beings are a lot more powerful than we realize and that within all of us is an untapped well of limitless potential, maybe. So I believe anything is possible through enough effort and belief.

When my tulpa becomes more advanced I may try this with him, and record how it does or doesn't work. Til then I can only ruminate and come up with random ideas about this. Bringing a tulpa from non-physical to physical would be spectacular if achieved though.
