It just so happens that the one number i see most often is 454. I see it almost every day on digital clocks, many times twice and it always makes me feel like I'm doing something right. I just now realized that 4+5+4 is 13. Well count me in the 13 club then.

 

Edit: it's a little awkward but the workaround i use is to quote multiple people in the same post, or just quote them later. It's inefficient but we don't have to pay for ink or anything.

One person doesn't speak for the entire phenomenon. And the people who gave up surely don't speak for the ones who didn't. Wouldn't my opinion of 9 years supersede the opinion of someone who tried for 2-3 years and then decided it was fake, if that were the case?

 

I agree with your base argument that people are far more afraid of things than they need to be, I try to preach control over your mind to everyone. I can both make a tulpa very quickly and entertain the concept of what would otherwise be a tulpa without making them a tulpa. That's due to my experience and understanding of the phenomenon respectively, though, and we still need to teach people about the phenomenon before they understand it oftentimes... (There are cases, like myself, of people "understanding the phenomenon" to an extent they're content with before learning anything online, but most do come here to learn what they don't think they know after all)

Maybe you are better at self deception, suspension of disbelief, and more emotionally committed than average?  Maybe you, like Mistgod, have a fantasy prone personality?

 

I think you are teaching pseudo-science mumbo jumbo for much of it.  What they understand is the parameters and system of belief of the pseudo-science subculture as well as some great mental visualization tricks and practices and throw in some lucid dreaming stuff which is nice.  

 

I enjoy talking with you Lumi, and I know you can take it.  You're super confident and can take being "insulted" by our arrogant skepticism, light defiance and persistent contrariness.  Don't misunderstand me, we don't mean to trivialize your experiences.  It's never that even though peoples take it that way.  Peoples who want to understand Misty and me have to start by understanding that we greatly value the products of imagination and make believe (that old pseudo-real thing again).  Just because we place it in a different category of existence, doesn't mean we think your experiences are not profound or very meaningful to you.  Your experience in tulpamancy really matters too a lot.

It has been established that it is okay to double post in my own thread in the lounge.  I have linked a quote from one of the moderators on that, so I think the easiest and most convenient thing is to quote and respond to each person individually in a series of double posts, if it must be.  At least I can do that on my Confessions thread, which is MINE.  LOL

 

Oh yesh we see a connection already Angry Bear!  4-5-4 indeed does add to 13!  OH now we are gonna see that sequence of numbers everywhere, I can see it coming.

Yeah, that was a long time ago, and a rule on double posting has since been added. It's no sweat if someone forgets and accidentally double-posts, but actively doing it isn't encouraged (even on one's own thread), especially when one can just edit the previous post.

Is there any limit to how many times one can edit their previous post?  Also, what about these other "bloggy" threads in the Lounge such as Lumi's Dreams thread and the thread about Wonderland Adventures?  Aren't these users frequently double posting for updates?

It's not considered "double posting" after about 6-8 or so hours, I think. If a significant amount of time has passed it's just regular posting. And no, there's no limits to how many times a post can be edited.

It's not like you're saving space. Just so you know, don't paste the transcript of a full length movie into one post, it will effectively crash my mobile, and I have a galaxy s8+. I've also come close to being unable to edit certain posts due to length. Then again, you probably wouldn't write that much in 6 hours.
